i can’t lie i hate this attitude that permeates the NHS where ppl forget GPs are essentially consultants and experienced, and act like them making referrals is a silly thing they don’t have a clue about
the referrals GPs make are based on their significant experience…
… idk i see a lot of guidance/policies etc. that treat GPs as if they’re just referring willy nilly and lack the expertise to know when to refer/when not to and the language used is so patronising
yeah there’s probably goofy referrals but we can’t pretend others aren’t doing it
