Data verification was one of the first features we built at @itheum WAY back in 2021 and now @balajis talks about why it’s needed!
We called it Personal Data Proofs - people could upload health records, we’d extract a proof and publish it on-chain, then mint a Data NFT pointing to it. Anyone who owned the NFT could access the data and verify its integrity.
This feature won 1st place in 3 hackathons (including @Filecoin and @hedera) and placed Top 5 in the @Polygon hackathon (back when Polygon was a top chain!)
Itheum was way too early with this tech.
I’ve said it so many times: timing is everything. You just need to make sure you don’t give up.
We’re aiming to bring this feature back with the Itheum Aithra upgrade.

we are here sir - we were the OG of the “data marketplace” concept. With our “Data NFT” tech and our “Data Dex” launching over 3 years ago.
We have learned a lot about web3 data marketplaces and their product market fit in AI and are upgrading our products based on this to re-launch.
