My name is Iryna. Over the past year, I’ve led Dzyga’s Paw, a Ukrainian org supplying our Defense Forces with tech, crowdfunded worldwide. We recently surpassed $4 mil in donations. In this thread, I will share why this work is so important to me and why transparency matters.

Calm is one of the core skills of a Special Operations Forces operator. When chaos breaks out all around, the job demands a cool head, total focus on the mission and not a single wasted move. πŸ“Ή: 3rd Special Operations Regiment, @SOF_UKR

Wear it, put it on your bag, stick it on your laptop. Someone will ask about it, and then you get to explain who the Da Vinci Wolves are. store.dzygaspaw.com/shop/cat…

Right now, in cities with no heating and a few hours of electricity a day, Ukrainians are donating money for drones πŸ”₯ They've raised 69% of their half of this HUGE fundraiser ($500,000) heading into the hardest winter of this war. And we're moving too: we're at 31%!

The US announced a deal to import Russian diesel this week, with sanctions on those exports suspended until April. We want to speak directly to our supporters in the US and around the world about what that looks like from here. Russia's economy runs on this war. Money that reaches it does not go to schools or hospitals. It goes straight back into the war against Ukraine, and it builds the capacity to threaten other European countries after us. This deal does not bring the war closer to an end. It extends it. Cheaper fuel comes at a price, and that price is paid in Ukrainian lives. As a small charity foundation, we work for ordinary soldiers, and we are funded by ordinary people who have decided this matters to them. Governments make their decisions. You make yours. And now we're feeling your support! If you want to stand with us: dzygaspaw.com/wolves-on-the-…

I joined a military charity this summer. A few weeks later, I was watching a sunset near the front line through anti-drone nets. I'm Ann from Dzyga's Paw, and this is what my first trip east felt like 🧡

I am Norwegian, and russia is my enemy. That's a behavioral description, not a sentiment. As we speak russia maps our infrastructure for potential sabotage, conducts sabotage operations against our allies, deliberately tries to manipulate our political decisions and public opinion, and conducts activities that already disrupt civilian infrastructure inside Norway. There are two possible solutions: either russia can stop it's hostile behavior, or russia can cease to exist.

Today is Defenders Day in Ukraine. Truth is, we wish there were no need for it. This day exists because russia invaded in 2014. We dream of a life with no war, no need to defend against such evil. But here we are. For almost 13 years, our defenders have been holding the line.

Casually filming some stuff with a fun selfie stick under drone nets, discussing how many more russians will be killed trying to get to Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, FPVs flying over our heads. Life in Ukraine
"How many more months can Sloviansk hold?" That's what our director Iryna asked a soldier from the 30th Brigade when we brought him EcoFlows and Starlinks worth $3,045. Sloviansk is a city near the front line in eastern Ukraine, Donbas. The answer is here:

πŸ”₯ Together, we've raised $5,538 this week for our urgent Defenders Day campaign! Parcel #1 is closed, and Parcel #2 for White Demons is already over 40% funded. Only ~$3,900 to go. Can we close it by the end of the day? dzygaspaw.com/defenders-day-…

For the Defenders Day, our goal is to cover the ongoing requests we received from the military across the front line. Currently, we have 39 requests waiting, on top of the bigger projects listed on our website. Check the video to learn more and support the campaign! ⬇️
We used to close soldiers' requests in days. Now they wait for months. Our director, Iryna, explains what changed and why on this Defenders Day, we're focusing on the small requests that keep piling up.

In just a few days, Ukraine marks Defenders Day. And right now, we're looking at a long list of requests from units that are short on the equipment they need to do their work. So this year, we're launching an urgent campaign to close as many of those requests as we can.

Scientists climbing out of windows to avoid being burned alive. That's what a russΡ–Π°n drone did to the National Academy of Sciences in central Kyiv today. Russia doesn't just target cities. It targets everything that makes us who we are. Photo: Facebook

In case you missed it 😎 We went to see Pikachu, UGV pilot of the Da Vinci Wolves, to find out what he takes with him to the positions. He invited us to his safehouse! He also explains how Russia used GPS jamming from Kaliningrad to redirect Ukrainian drones into Finnish airspace, and why nobody shot them down. It's a 34 minute interview and worth every one of them. Watch it this weekend! youtu.be/ac7ob-flf8Q
