The situation regarding Police Peace Committees in #LakkiMarwat and #Bannu has reached a critical juncture. We are witnessing bold defiance and the near-establishment of a parallel government. Paradoxically, despite numerous challenges, the locals place their trust in these committees, which have for the first time demonstrated the ability to effectively resist the Taliban, marking a significant shift in organised opposition. The ongoing discord among Law Enforcement Agencies, coupled with their half-hearted efforts and ineffective management by government institutions, has precipitated this dire situation. The LEAs must sort out their differences, the government should assert their authority and take decisive action to regain control. If they fail to act swiftly, they risk not only confronting the Taliban but also dealing with the potential larger threat posed by the defiance of these Peace Committees.

More new provinces will mainly benefit political dynasties:
• More family members become Ministers
• The rest secure Grade 22 posts, Provincial Secretary & Chief Secretary
• Extra court judges
• More downtown government offices & official mansions in downtowns of provincial capitals
• More cars, more protocol, more status
The only real problem? Roads permanently clogged. Current VIPs multiplied by 15 new provinces × judges + cabinet members + chief secretaries. Prepare for total road closures every time protocol passes.
We’ll need far higher taxes just to feed this growing appetite.
And the bigger truth: this will save the outmoded colonial system from real reform.
More provinces = postponing genuine local government and decentralisation for another 2–3 decades.
Surprisingly, people keep debating the number of provinces… instead of asking why we still refuse to fix the actual structure and genuine city based local government which is the need the hour!

A bit off-topic from our regular news posts, but given the current circumstances we feel this needs to be raised so it gets highlighted for the relevant state institutions which we know are reading our posts.
A nuclear-armed state with every means of surveillance and kinetic force at its disposal repeatedly failing to intercept Kazim is nothing short of humiliation. He has been seen time and again on the front lines with militants from his group as they target police and other state institutions. Kazim has put to rest more Army officers than anyone else, 3 in October alone in 2025. They have carried out multiple large-scale attacks on police posts, seized weapons, check posts and personnel, and executed those who refused to surrender.
The recent clash in Hangu between police and TTP militants is simply the latest failure in a long list when it comes to Kazim. In the video below (from a year ago) he openly states that he will “heat up” the Kohat and Hangu areas next. Militants have consistently delivered on their threats. State forces, meanwhile, pacify the public with airstrikes on anonymous targets in Afghanistan and inflated body counts while producing evidence for only a fraction of the claimed kills.
Why is the intelligence so weak? Why are soldiers still not being deployed alongside the police? Fighting militants is not the job of the police, nor is it the responsibility of civilians to form committees. The mishandling of Zarb-e-Azb produced the Bannu we see today. If Hangu and Kohat are managed with the same neglect, the consequences will be catastrophic. These areas sit on critical logistics routes; losing control of them will mean nothing but more bloodstained uniforms.
Instead of trying to play peacemaker in the Iran–US confrontation, state institutions need to extinguish the fire burning inside their own house. Utterly shameful.

Alhumdulillah, I retire today. Can’t thank Allah enough for his infinite blessings.
In such dark times, where rule of law, integrity, discipline and accountability appear to be relics of the past, retiring without a whisper of negativity is the biggest blessing.
I stayed OSD for 3.5 years, alhumdulillah. I never ever visited any human god, on both sides of the aisle, keeping my honour and self respect intact.
Allah gave me the strength to endure this difficult period of my career. A single ‘No’—a refusal to compromise my principles and my insistence that Punjab Police shall uphold the law—changed the course of my career. Looking back today, I would make exactly the same choice again.
As a result, I was pitched on the left. And there I firmly stood since then till now 😃😃
I am extremely grateful to my parents, wife, kids, some of my friends and very few colleagues, who kept me in high morale.
Especially my late father and my esteemed mother, who in their pep talk, whenever I was low, would announce very forcefully that “ You are a lion” and would recite Iqbal’s famous couplets
“ تندیٔ بادِ مخالف سے نہ گھبرا اے عقاب،
یہ تو چلتی ہے تجھے اونچا اُڑانے کے لیے۔
and
نہیں تیرا نشیمن قصرِ سلطانی کے گنبد پر”

Police gave me so much that I will write a book about this journey. It is indeed the best profession, providing a golden visa to heaven and even a faster one to hell.
I am proud to be a PSP officer and thank my beloved Pakistan and its great people for affording me with utmost respect and honour. I am overwhelmed by thousands of messages across my social media platforms from acquaintances expressing their good wishes. Thank you to all.
In the end, 60 is the new 40. So whatever time is left on this rock, I will spend and savour it, inshallah, to the best of my abilities. I firmly believe that the best chapters of my life story are yet to come.
One lesson I have learnt is to “ ENJOY THE MOMENT” and that is exactly what I intend to do.

گزشتہ کئی دنوں سے اسلام آباد شدید گرمی کی لہر نے گھر سے نکلنا مُشکل کیا ہوا ہے، ایسے میں آج ایک میٹنگ کے لیے جاتے ہوئے فیصل مسجد سے پہلے @ICT_Police کے جوانوں کو دوپہر ایک بجے جُھلسا دینے والی دھوپ میں سر پر ہلکا سا کپڑا لپیٹے کھڑے دیکھا تو دل بہت افسردہ ہوا۔ یہ بھی ہماری ماؤں کے بیٹے ہیں اتنی شدید گرمی میں بارہ بارہ گھنٹے ڈیوٹی کرتے ہیں، نہ کوئی چھاؤں کے لیے انتظام نہ کوئی پنکھا نہ قریب کوئی پانی کا نل تھا۔ اب ایسے میں آپ پولیس اہلکاروں سے کیسے خوش کلامی کی توقع کرسکتے ہیں؟ برائے مہربانی ناکوں پر کھڑے پولیس اہلکاروں سے تعاون کیا کریں، تلخ سوالات کا جواب بھی مُسکرا کر دیا کریں اور تلاشی دینے میں بھی بُرا مت مانا کریں۔ اور یہ صرف اسلام آباد نہیں پاکستان بھر میں پولیس کے ساتھ ایسا رویہ رکھیں۔

ذرائع کے مطابق ڈی پی او حافظ آباد میرٹ پر فیصلے کر رہا تھا۔ سیاسی پریشر کو انکار کرتے ہوئے میرٹ پر SHO کی تعنیاتیاں کیں جو کہ حافظ آباد کی سیاسی اشرافیہ کو پسند نہیں آئی تو حافظ آباد سے سیاسی لوگوں کا ایک گروپ CM آفس پہنچتا ہے اور کامران حمید کے تبادلے کی چٹ اندر پہنچائی جاتی ہے اور وہاں پر موجود ایک افسر کامران حمید کے دوست ہوتے ہیں جو اُنکو وقت سے پہلے بتا دیتے ہیں کہ آپکے تبادلے کی چٹ آ گئی۔ شاہد حسین بھٹی کے بیٹے کو Get Lost کہنا اُس غصے کا اظہار تھا جو DPO کو تبادلے کی خبر دوست بتا چکا تھا۔ برحال کسی افسر کے واش روم کو استعمال کرنے Get Lost کہنا کوئی مناسب رویہ نہیں۔ برحال میرٹ پر تعیناتیاں اور میرٹ یقینی بنانا ابھی ایک ادھورا خواب ہے

حافظ آباد میں پیش آیا انوکھا واقعہ، چند روز قبل لیگی رکن پنجاب اسمبلی شاہد حسین بھٹی اپنے بیٹے حیدر بھٹی اور دیگر لوگوں کے ہمراہ ڈی پی او آفس حافظ آباد میں موجود تھے، ڈی پی او کامران حامد اس وقت آفس نہیں تھے اس دوران ایم پی اے کے بیٹے حیدر بھٹی نے ڈی پی او کے ذاتی کمرے کا واش روم استعمال کیا۔ حیدر بھٹی جب واش روم سے نکلے تو آگے ڈی پی او صاحب موجود تھے جہاں ان میں تلخ کلامی ہوئی اور حیدر بھٹی کو Get Lost کا پیغام دیا گیا۔
اس پیغام کے بعد سیاسی زور آزمائی شروع ہوئی اور گزشتہ روز ڈی پی او حافظ آباد کو تبدیل کردیا گیا اور انکو پنجاب سیف سٹی میں تعینات کردیا گیا۔ تبادلے کے بعد لیگی ایم پی اے کے بیٹے نے فیس بک پوسٹ کی ہے کہ
