Just back from the Hadestown Pro Shot.
I *knew* it was going to make me cry, didn't expect it to start from about a third of the way in and not let up :)
I LOVED Hadestown when I saw it in the West End (about a month before they filmed this one - and with the same Fates ... 1/3
... and about half the same Chorus), but boy oh boy that original Broadway main cast was just mind-blowing.
Andre!!!!! Amber!!!! Reeve and Eva!!!!!
But my absolute star of the show, Patrick Page. If you designed a PERFECT Hades in a lab, he still ... 2/3
I use Claude Code at work, it's genuinely useful - and I would be open to using it in my personal life, but these lists of use cases they come up with are never anything I have to deal with. I think life in America just involves MUCH more paperwork and admin than life in the UK!
I know people:
- using it to deal with medical claims
- renewing their DMV stuff
- using it to find subs they dont use anymore to save money
- using it to auto-filter out email scams
- draft expense reports
.. and tons of otherwise annoying tasks.
First time I gave an exec a truly powerful AI agent earlier this year (claude code + CLI), the response was "I'm in Love".
I have been writing code since I was 8. 46 years. I have never had someone say they are in love with a computer program.
Feels like we have an epidemic around people having a lack of imagination, or at least curiosity.
Sad.
I am IN LOVE with this mural - as featured in Digger - and now I find out it's publicly viewable in Dallas, TX - where I went a couple of years ago as part of my hockey quest but am unlikely ever to find myself in again :(
I need to go back!

I can't stress enough how much the experience of the very end of Digger will just not be the same if you're watching at home on streaming

It’s legit one of the weirdest things to happen on this Plane of Weirdest Things that of all the Weirdest Things, fucking Harry Potter and the Methods of goddamned Rationality might ultimately end the bloody world.

I just got a text from a former customer to let me know you have featured one of my murals in today's paper.
I am not best pleased as you have used a very obviously unfinished photo of the mural (from day 1 of 3 early in the process), and
S52 off to an ok start, not the best ever, but between Jane as Dario and that High School Musical skit that made me absolutely cry laughing, it was a fun watch. I loved the new girl whose name I already forgot (sorry!) in the Newton's Cradle skit too. #SNL
THESE WORDS BY NATASHA BEDINGFIELD. if it comes on the car radio I almost crash the vehicle in my scramble to turn it off before she gets to the I love you I love you I love youuu part. Shudder.
Not enough Fouracres (or Nash), but other than that, tonight's SNL UK was amazing :) a lot better than last week's. Jamie was a fantastic host. And bonus Ania and K-Pop Paddy was icing on the cake :)
& Freddie is doing so great, he doesn't feel new, he fits in so well already.
This weekend's mural, not my usual style but I am pleased with how it turned out.
This one is in Chippenham, Wiltshire. It's directly opposite a primary school so I painted a mama and baby squirrel, figured both the mums and the kids would like that.
I know they need the time to set up the next sketch and all that, but did #SNLUK have *this*many adverts last season??
My contribution to the HUGE Wall Games street art and graffiti festival in Northampton this weekend - biggest in Europe with over 350 artists and writers! I was directly opposite the museum with its large shoe/boot collection, hence the big boots :) #wallgames
