It's just not true
If you want to live in the UK, you should speak English. That’s common sense. So we’re raising English language requirements across every main immigration route.

Listen to this whole clip, and the very, very long pause at the end when a man suddenly realises that his argument doesn't work, because he hasn't actually listened to trans people, and considered how women have been made *less* safe by the Supreme Court.
"Trans women should of course still continue to use women's bathrooms... I do not police people in public toilets." @DawnButlerBrent sets out the practicalities around the Supreme Court ruling that the definition of a 'woman' is a 'biological woman'. #PoliticsHub ⬇️

I really enjoyed reading Settle as @newjasonhorn released it page by page. Now you can read it all at once, and I think you'll enjoy it too—a slow story of minds maybe changing kickstarter.com/projects/155…

British misogyny is so ground in that old ladies who've made it to government hate their own gender this much. Trying to associate gender equality with the Conservative Party... sad af
Labour minister Karin Smyth says the Tories owe the country an apology & cites a Tory PM saying trans women are women.

We should all be outraged at this. Another hospital, another massacre, another war crime. Don't get used to it!! ACT! Do something! Help those who survived all of this stay alive! You can start here, by supporting my friend Shadi's campaign for his family: tinyurl.com/ShadiEd
Share and give: tinyurl.com/ShadiEd Tonight, the occupation bombed the Al-Ahli Baptist hospital. This hospital is close to our home. When hospitals aren't safe, who will tell us that our homes are? Where is the world when our hospitals, schools, ambulances, tents and houses are targeted? Where? The bombing continues... If you can't stop the bombs, please at least don't let us die of hunger or go without water! Your support means we can provide for ourselves amidst this horrible situation and look with a spark of hope into the future!

Remember Frans Cornelis Adrianus van Anraat? A European war criminal who was tried, sentenced & imprisoned for providing raw chemicals to help Saddam mass murder the Kurds? There are tens of thousands more Europeans like him in Europe. In positions of power, authority and respect

it’s so evil how disabled people receiving welfare aren’t allowed to save up any money for emergencies, like they’re deliberately kept on the precipice of financial oblivion at all times, the constant background stress must exacerbate so many conditions and is going to get worse

Replying to @KittyDotty
My teenage daughter was asked if she wipes her own bum, changes her own sanitary products, it was degrading and humiliating, she then had to stand and reach her bum to prove she can/can’t as she’s non-verbal 😡 but that’s ok to put people through that, in fact they want more 😡

You can't live on £393 a month. You just can't. Even with council tax benefit, your essential bills aren't much below £250 and that's before you even think of food, clothing, or travel.
Legacy benefits such as ESA being migrated to UC already means that Transitional Protection is temporary. Each year the claimant is not given the annual increase. What this means is anyone with long term or permanent conditions will end up on the same basic rate, £393 pm single

This should be repeated by everyone who goes into studios to discuss Israel’s genocide of Palestinians and is confronted with these absurd, propagandist questions
.@FranceskAlbs brilliantly bats away the suggestion that we should listen to Israels explanation for its actions. No, lets concentrate on international law rather than listen to a regime that is led by a wanted war criminal.

Yesterday MPs voted on a Green Party amendment to give kids free school meals. 6 Labour MPs voted in favour (Diane Abbott, Richard Burgon, Ian Byrne, Brian Leishman, Grahame Morris and Bell Ribeiro-Addy). 303 Labour MPs voted against (that includes the two Labour tellers)

this whole "party of work" thing is genuinely just nazism, enthusiastic support for an abstract "work" is how you pretend to be pursuing the interests of workers whilst actually pursuing greater exploitation of them
The Tories created a system that callously wrote off millions. Labour, the Party of work, will put it right. thetimes.com/uk/politics/art…
