The IIDS Retreat 2026 in Godawari brought strategic discussions, team-building activities and reflection. From envisioning IIDS @ 50 to preparing for the IIDS Policy Conclave 2026, the retreat renewed a shared commitment to advancing evidence-based policy and Nepal’s development.
Introducing Res Himalaya, IIDS’ new biannual journal exploring the political, economic, social, and strategic questions shaping Nepal and its neighborhood.

Scaling Digital Advisory in Nepal means moving beyond downloads to real impact—better decisions, productivity, resilience, and livelihoods for farmers, powered by trusted data, responsible AI, and stronger public–private collaboration.
Digital agriculture can fill Nepal’s extension-service gap—but its real impact will come from connecting underserved farmers to timely information, markets, and better returns.
