As a fan of graphic design, the band Pop Will Eat Itself, and their long-term designer, The Designers Republic (who did their covers and overall branding), I was super excited to spot some TDR work in the new Black Mirror episode Plaything. Nicely done, set designers!

I love the design aesthetic of @MarathonTheGame & it’s ARG. The retro digital glitch style is reminiscent of early/mid 90s design work by The Designers Republic (aka D*R) who coincidentally worked on og PlayStation game Wipeout. thedesignersrepublic.com/pro… @ianTDR was a visionary.

NEW STOCK now in store! The Designers Republic: Brain-Aided Design at La Capella Editor: Xavier Calvo Publisher: Ajuntament de Barcelona Publication: 2002 Established in Sheffield in 1986 by Ian Anderson, The Designers Republic has grown from a cult design group into an internationally influential phenomenon. Famous for its subversive power and unique sense of humour, their work is one of the most distinctive bodies of graphic design on the global scene. Brain-aided Design[trademark] is the long-anticipated first compilation of their work past, present and future. The ultimate Designers Republic book, it spans early music industry graphics including sleeves and identity design for the Sheffield label Warp, through work for a diverse range of clients such as MTV, Adidas, Sony, JVC, Polygram and Swatch. In 1994 Emigre magazine devoted a whole issue to The Designers Republic which has now become a collector's item. @disinfoTDR @ianTDR @LaCapellaBCN

Cette saga méritait un ouvrage à la hauteur de sa légende. Du magnum. Du massif. C'est dorénavant chose faite, 320 pages de pur bonheur pour la rétine.👌 MERCI ET LONGUE VIE À WIPEOUT !! 🚀 #WipEout #PlayStation #SegaSaturn

Don’t be shocked - it was a groundbreaking thing you all made, with a vision so ambitious that it’s almost absurd that you managed to pull it off so well. The entire PlayStation brand owes a life-sustaining chunk of itself to WipEout, and the people that made it.
