I’m taking a look at Convergence’s new AI Agent, Proxy. While a lot of folks are praising it, I’d like to highlight areas where it might fall short—especially against other tools like OpenAI Operator or Cursor.
I put Proxy to work and ultimately ended with an error. It wasn't a difficult task - I prompted pretty clear instructions.
Anyone thinking of joining a “Coding” bootcamp to accelerate your career as a SWE - full stop. Don’t dig yourself in more financial debt.
Instead build with AI tools and LLMs. Learn and communicate with cursor and build your toy projects WITH cursor.
If you’re not technical - there are tools like replit and bolt that allow you to build end-to-end applications with plain english. All you need is explicitly state the scope and explain what you want the interface to look like.
