When they raise dividends from 11.5% to 12.5%, it will go from 32 years to 29.4 years of dividends.
When BTC falls 10%, the years of dividends will go down about 3 more years.
When mNAV goes below 1, they will sell BTC to buy back MSTR, and years dividends goes down even more.
Why would bi-weekly dividends improve $STRC stability or discount to par?
-33% to go for $MSTR
You can get 53% bitcoin yield on your MSTR shares right now if you sell them for bitcoin. Not financial advice.
I don’t know how things will evolve when we become interplanetary, but before that, the values of all other things will tend to decrease at a non-negligible rate such that on a long enough time frame other asset classes will be negligibly small.
We might become interplanetary before this time, but I’m optimistic Bitcoin will adapt to be work at larger distances.
I love the “Everything divided by 21 million” meme because it gets people thinking about Bitcoin as the denominator.
But to be clear, all global (and interplanetary?) value will NOT be stored in Bitcoin. Just like all value was never stored in gold or in fiat.
Bitcoin IS the new measuring stick. And that is plenty.

It's kind of sad seeing so many Bitcoiners commenting their favourite Treasury Company Ticker (which is probably down 50%+ from the highs at this stage), hoping someone will tell them has hit escape velocity.
It hasn't, and we've seen this behaviour before...in shitcoins.
Budget neutral way to acquire bitcoin:
1. Issue bitcoin backed by mortgages at sub prime rates and high LTV
2. Crash the housing market
3. Repossess the Bitcoin
Bitcoin isn’t so much the hurdle rate as it is the unit of account.
Bitcoin obsoletes the term “hurdle rate”.
Whether you agree with lending or not, @saylor is trying to offer a product, $STRF, which uses bitcoin’s appreciation rate to generate a steady 10% APY while @jackmallers is trying to offer a lending product that has APR < 10%.
They can’t both succeed and be risk free.
@jackmallers, (rhetorically, and respectfully) why would anyone lend you money at less than 10% when they could just buy $STRF?
This whole core / knots situation has me thinking I should download the repo, review the code, and think through the scenarios myself.
$MSTR is laying stepping stones for legacy finance to find its way to Bitcoin, but some bitcoiners are stumbling backwards onto them.
“MSTR will be the biggest company in the world some day”
You realize the biggest company in the world today is worth 33,000,000 BTC?
Do you want to own a company worth more than 21M BTC?
