On this day in 1958 No. 17 Iowa defeated Indiana 34-13 at Iowa Stadium (now Kinnick). This was part of Evashevski’s national championship-caliber season; the Hawkeyes went 8-1-1, won the Big Ten, finished No. 2 in the final AP poll, and beat Cal in the Rose Bowl.
