For the last three years, I’ve worked with @richardneher and @trvrb to develop models to make long-term forecasts of seasonal influenza evolution. Our results are now available in eLife (elifesciences.org/articles/6…) and summarized on our blog (bedford.io/blog/predicting-s…).
I am so grateful to have spent my PhD in @trvrb's lab and the scientific community of Seattle. I couldn't have asked for better lab mates or congratulatory treats than these.
For more about the context of our forecasting efforts, check out the excellent insight article written by @aperofsky and @swientist (elifesciences.org/articles/6…).
In a little over a year, dms-view.github.io went from an idea in @AdamDingens’s mind to a prototype for @jeffrey_heer’s data viz class last spring by @khrystyna_north, @alliblk, Sarah Hilton, and me, to publication in JOSS and regular use by @jbloom_lab.
Just published in #JOSS_theOJ: 'dms-view: Interactive visualization tool for deep mutational scanning data' doi.org/10.21105/joss.02353

@brittqhoover i've found listening to "stephanie says" can trick me into a good mood. it's like a trojan horse of happy into sadville.
@brittqhoover you end up having to do the dishes more often though.
