Hey Tim! Thanks for inviting me into the conversation. Pets can be a huge assistance for people who enjoy animals. It is something I will always explore with clients. It’s a great fit for some, for others it can increase anxiety. I am pro pet therapy, but I don’t advocate ownership

😂😂😂 Nah, he loves you for being you. For the person who always show up ready to help others, even if he is struggling in his own right. #ptsdchat

I am glad he is of service to you. I get my puppy and kitty love as we walk our neighborhood. Every so often we watch our neighbor's dog when they travel. I wear her down. #ptsdchat
#PTSDchat Having my pet/friend (HRM Mimzee The Only) makes my life a lot more tolerable. Watching his antics and knowing he needs me to take care of him gives me several reasons to focus on something other than the #PTSD that bothers me.

He was a smart man. He lived a life that would break most of the men in today's world. Me included.

Very sage advice and wisdom. #ptsdchat
#PTSDchat Grandaddy told me: "Life is a bunch of decisions you'll make. Some easy, and some not so much, but living means you'll make them. Don't expect it to be sunny every day; live with the storms too, son."

No on the service dog for M H. He wouldn't accept one. They've tried to pair him up for years. He rescues, raises, and spoils the heck out of his friends!

I recall your loss. I still offer my condolences. Losing a friend never gets easier to accept. For me, I move on to other things while not forgetting that I miss the departed ones.

He helps me focus less on my issues by forcing me to pay attention to his... "input".

Our Vino was a very special dog. He was a healer in his own right. He assisted me with Reiki clients, and is missed dearly. He has been gone for over 4 years. #ptsdchat

Good Evening, how is everyone doing? Let's talk about how pets give us purpose. Do they help with your #PTSD? #ptsdchat
