Medellín, Colombia dropped its city's warming temps by a whopping 4 degrees Fahrenheit.
How?
They created "green corridors" of trees and plants throughout the built city.
It cost $6.50 per resident, and will save the city millions of dollars each year.
We need more of this!
Good article about reusing buildings. In the future, we don't want old cities with no heritage.

Yesterday, I was proud to announce the next step to increasing access to student housing in Edmonton through the $15-million Downtown Student Housing Incentive, part of the Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan.
Post-secondary institutions are expanding in downtown Edmonton, drawing thousands of students into the core. Currently, Edmonton’s downtown is home to over 47,000 students.
Through the Downtown Student Housing Incentive, we will help create an estimated 500 new rentals designed for students and offered at prices they can afford, close to campus and near amenities such as libraries and transit.
On behalf of the @CityofEdmonton, I’d like to thank the Federal Government and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for their help in supporting this incentive through the Housing Accelerator Fund.
This funding continues to have a profound impact on housing supply in Edmonton, and we look forward to implementing more aspects of our Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan in the future.
Thank you to @NorQuest @UAlberta and @bildedmonton for celebrating this important step to create more housing for Edmonton's students.

Affordable housing does not need to be ugly and we would get a lot more of it approved and built if your average citizen didn’t view its construction as a tradeoff against beauty.
There may be hope for for the historic Royal Alberta Museum building!

Should be interesting. Curious to see if it builds on the themes that seem to already have emerged in the town

After researching your historic home’s history and determining whether you’re restoring or rehabilitating it, you can start planning your project.
You can take on as many or as few aspects of planning as desired but don't forget these integral steps.
