Are all these incidents coordinated? Are state actors behind the attacks (🇷🇺?)? We do not know for sure.

With a short prompt, it wrote a quantum chemistry SCF solver from scratch, validated its output, and built a 3D view around it.
Le Chonk also understand chemistry enough to independently choose how to break the molecule and what orbitals to show, without further input. 🧵

Thank you, Emmanuel, for your condolences. Unfortunately, the death toll from the Russian strike on a commuter train in Dnipro has already risen to 14. And just a few hours ago, the Russians struck a residential neighborhood in Chernihiv with a drone and killed two girls. They were only 15 years old. In Kremenchuk, a Russian “shahed” struck an apartment building. Tragically, three people were killed. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones. In these three attacks alone, 56 people have been reported injured, including 10 children.
These are deliberate strikes against civilians, brazen in their cruelty, and the Russians are carrying them out right as the humanitarian operation in Oleshky is unfolding. Russia’s signals are clear – they want the war to continue, and everyone around the world must still work very hard to achieve major de-escalation through strong steps and appropriate pressure on the aggressor.
Peace is needed – and for that to happen, Russia must end its war and terror.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge my own mistake in all of this.
Until a few hours ago, I genuinely believed the animated map in my video had been created from scratch by my editing team. I had no idea it came from The Kyiv Independent, or that their logo had been removed. I only discovered this when I looked into the copyright complaint.
I should have checked where the material came from before publishing it, and I take full responsibility for not doing so.
Working independently without the resources or oversight of a major newsroom comes with challenges, but that’s not an excuse. Ultimately, everything published on my channel is my responsibility, and I need to make sure the standards I expect from others are reflected in my own work.
I care deeply about the stories I tell, the people who trust me to tell them, and the journalists whose work helps inform them. The Kyiv Independent’s team deserved proper credit, and I’m genuinely sorry that didn’t happen.
I still believe their decision to issue a copyright strike and remove a video with 1.3 million views was disproportionate. I reached out privately by email to try to resolve the matter, and I wish we’d been able to deal with it through a conversation rather than having it escalate publicly.
But I don’t want that disagreement to distract from my own responsibility here.
My focus now is making sure this doesn’t happen again. I’ll be reviewing how my editing team sources and credits material, putting better checks in place before publication, and making sure we show other journalists the same respect we expect for our own reporting.
I’m proud of the work we’ve produced, but I know there’s always room to improve. I want my journalism to be as accurate, responsible and professional as possible, particularly when telling stories as important as those coming out of Ukraine.
I will learn from this and get back to telling the stories that matter.

Of the 2,977 victims of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania, at least 18 were Irish citizens and an estimated 1,000 were of Irish heritage. It was an attack on all humanity, on democracy and the values we all share. It was particularity felt here in Ireland due to the close bonds between our two nations and peoples. The victims included many of the first responders from the fire department and police who died while bravely rushing into danger to save others.
ALT When I visited the 9/11 memorial in New York in 2021, I could not help but be struck by the number of Irish names that feature prominently among the dead. The American people, including the Irish-American community, have shown tremendous resilience to rebuild their lives in the face of such inhumanity. We see an example of this determination through the “Ride for Resilience” which will see firefighters from New York and Ireland cycle from Boston to Dublin to raise funds and awareness for mental health and wellness services. We remain united with all the survivors of 9/11, both today and in the years to come. We will not forget them
