We have had 3 fabulous days of maths this week. All things practical and counting, it's been amazing to see what brilliant, budding mathematicians we have in Year 1!
First computing lesson of the year! Practising turning on, using the keyboard and mouse to get onto @TeachMonsters this afternoon. Great fun and some wonderful phonics practise too! @HighfieldYear2
What a fabulous start to day two of year 1! We have been using our fine motor skills with cutting and sticking to explore our likes and dislikes to share with each other. Just like Miss Bolton, we have a lot of children who like chocolate 😍 #motorskills #highfieldprep
What a fabulous first day, full of smiles and excitement to get back to school. We just can’t wait to see what this year will bring!

Today, we have been building contractions using some special sticky notes and special pens. We have been looking at how two words can get squished together to make a shorter word. Check us out! 🧠📝 #learning #grammar #highfieldprep #resilience
