What an amazing evening we had for our first Regional Showcase Series event of the 2025-26 season.
It was brilliant to work with a number of our group who will be heading out to the Gothia Cup from the 10th-21st July, as well as to see familiar and new faces to TGK.
It was a great setting at Racing Club Warwick for some great football to be played by both sets of players.
We now look forward to the next two Regional Showcase Series events which will take place in Wales and Yorkshire. From this we will pick a TGK North and a TGK South representative side to play each other at St George's Park in June 2026 for our annual Regional Rivalry Series Final.
Those who participated yesterday are now eligible for both St George's Park and also the fully funded tour to Scotland in 2026, where we select a representative team from both TGK North and TGK South to head to Scotland for fixtures and a lot of fun.
Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday work. It was great to relax after with pizza and the England Euro's game on the box, watching it as a collective TGK community.
Our next domestic event for TGK is the National Performance Camp on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th July.
Izzy really enjoyed playing against International representative team BGC Wales. She played with enthusiasm and determination! Thanks to everyone @THISGIRLKICKS 👏
What an amazing Sunday we had with our good friends BGC Wales!
Two very exciting games that saw great attacking football played in both age group fixtures.
We are very proud of the TGK girls who played for BGC Wales. They were excellent in both the 15s and 17s fixtures.
Giving so many players their competitive debuts was amazing, particularly the U15s, which included just seven out of sixteen who had attended an event with TGK before.
Sunday marked the end of our competitive season, and what a season it has been. We only play the most challenging schedule of games, and we thank BGC Wales for visiting us for the second season in a row.
We had a reversal of last season's results, with both teams splitting a win and a loss in each age group fixture on Sunday.
Also, it was terrific to have an all-female referee team of four. Giving each fixture four match officials to run each game. All did a fantastic job to ensure that the game could go ahead with fantastic role modelling for our girls.
Izzy’s County team lost today against Liverpool in the County Cup final but she played fantastic and scored 2 great goals 👏👏👏
