This 100%. Kona is a spectacle event. Its legacy and myth has been built around the spectacle of the best in the world qualifying and competing head-to-head, both pro and amateur. Quantity dilutes this legacy. The sacredness and appeal of Kona is in sad decline.
Kona is not about quantity,it is about quality!A fine amount of people,the fittest in the World trying to compete for the crown,no matter if Professional or AG. That is part of the myth. @IRONMANtri take care that you don't kill the myth because it could also kill your business.

For the sport to be commercially attractive, the fundamentals of pro racing and the enforcement of rules must take priority over decorations. Racing is PTO’s core product. The fundamentals need to have priority over everything, it’s the foundation that the product is built upon.
The @protriorg has a chance as an athletes organization to see problems and address them right away. Tomorrow will be a very important day to adapt and fix the problems from todays race.

Just to clarify for my international friends, you will pronounce Vingegaard, almost correct if you pronounce it as “ving-a-gord” and go soft on the first “g”, almost drop it “vin-a-gord”, instead of the “vinga-gaurd” #TDF2022 😊
Actually, upon further thinking, if you want to get even closer, I’d say drop the “d” as it is technically silent… “ving-a-gor” will make you sound almost fluent I’m sure 😝 #TDF2022
