What is the purpose of an Energy Ramstein meeting? We are talking about all of the systems that protect our state’s energy infrastructure. The issue is not just the Patriot systems, which will never be enough. Ukraine has received many different systems during the course of the war, and these require constant interceptor missile packages. This morning, we received a significant shipment. It is now in Ukraine, and I can speak about it. But securing these packages takes enormous effort, blood, and human lives. When you realize how much is in stockpiles, in which country, the overall quantity, and that it is simply being stored there. Of course, there is domestic legislation, which limits the minimum that must be stockpiled. But what rules, honestly? What laws, honestly? If we are at war, we really need it. And in some countries, there is no war. That is why the Energy Ramstein – it is a platform where agreements must be reached to continue supplies. Just because shipments are arriving now, it does not mean that winter will end for us tomorrow. And it doesn’t mean that tomorrow the enemy will stop bombing us. In my view, Ukraine must be respected here. Precisely respected. Because just saying “the Ukrainian people are strong” is not enough. Strong people hold on, just like every warrior on our front lines holds on. And these strong people must be supported to the fullest and protected. That is why, from the Energy Ramstein, we expect rapid deliveries of whatever our partners have available.
