I had the chance of creating these images for Prof. Cristian Celis-Barros @ccelisbarros, Dr Todd Poe, Prof. Thomas Albrecht-Schönzart @TEAS_Actinides, Dr Joseph Sperling @Jsperling91 and colleagues who successfully isolated a californium(II) crown–ether complex!
The cover art did not quite make it to front of @NatureChemistry, but nevertheless excellent study and beautiful crystals! You can read more about it here:

The addition of water increases the spacing of the delta manganese dioxide layers in zinc-ion batteries, changing the way Zn ions are intercalated. The 10 in the cover represents the new spacing in angstroms; it is also a play on the fact that @JmaterChem A is celebrating their 10th anniversary!
