Two hacks in less than a week. Same platform. Same pattern. Sharing this so none of you go through what we did.
On 2nd October, my @tradin account got hacked and I lost a good chunk. It wasn't a bad trade or a broken rule. Someone got into the account and took the money. The hacker also tried to log into my Gmail but failed, so my email was never compromised.
After that, my friend did everything right. He changed all his passwords, set up 2FA on every account he could, and deposited more money to trade. He had a position running that was $1,000 up and around $4,000 sitting in his wallet.
This morning, 7th October, he woke up and opened MetaTrader. His position was still running, but the ~$4,000 in his wallet had been withdrawn and his Tradin password had been changed. His Gmail wasn't even touched, yet the money was gone.
When we reached out, Tradin support told us they can't help because they believe our credentials were shared and that we handled things unprofessionally. Two separate people, both with secured emails, both drained in the same way, and the answer is that it's our fault.
Losses are part of trading. This isn't one of them. A platform holding people's money needs basic protections like built-in 2FA on Tradin itself, mandatory for every user, a 24-hour withdrawal hold whenever a new wallet is added, and OTP verification on both mobile and email for every withdrawal.
Until that happens, if you trade on Tradin, don't keep more money in your wallet than you need, withdraw your profits regularly, and use unique passwords with 2FA everywhere you can.
Tradin, your users deserve better. Please take this seriously.
