Everyone deserves the same respect we expect from others, even those we may see are different from us.
Making fun of a person’s disability and excusing it as a form of humor is never acceptable. Disability should never be used as a punchline or a reason to demean someone. People with disabilities are individuals with their own abilities, aspirations, and potential, and they deserve dignity, equal opportunities, and respect.
May we learn to be kinder and free ourselves from the toxic mentality that a person’s disability justifies insulting, judging, or discriminating against someone. Let us all work together to create safe and inclusive spaces, both physically and virtually.

The RISE Ad Hoc Committee, or Reinvigorate Investment and Sustainable Economic Growth, was created to look into the reasons behind the Philippines’ slowing economic growth and identify changes that could help strengthen the economy.
Its first hearing on September 24, 2026, looked at issues affecting the economy and the lives of Filipinos, including corruption and governance, rising prices and household spending, investment, dependence on imported energy, climate-related risks, and geopolitical tensions.

Pasado na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang Senate Bill No. 2426 o ang Comprehensive School Safety Act, na naglalayong magtatag ng National Comprehensive School Safety Framework. Sina Senate President Win Gatchalian at Senator Risa Hontiveros ay kabilang sa mga co-author at co-sponsor ng panukala.
Layunin ng panukala na paigtingin ang mga safety measures at practices sa mga paaralan upang matulungan ang mga mag-aaral, guro, at school personnel na magkaroon ng sapat na kaalaman at paghahanda para maiwasan at matugunan ang karahasan at iba pang banta sa kaligtasan sa paaralan.
Ang bawat mag-aaral ay karapat-dapat sa isang paaralan kung saan sila ay ligtas, protektado, at may kakayahang maabot ang kanilang buong potensyal.
Dahil sa ligtas na paaralan, mas napapalakas ang pagkatuto at kagalingan ng bawat mag-aaral.
