Everyone deserves the same respect we expect from others, even those we may see are different from us.  Making fun of a person’s disability and excusing it as a form of humor is never acceptable. Disability should never be used as a punchline or a reason to demean someone. People with disabilities are individuals with their own abilities, aspirations, and potential, and they deserve dignity, equal opportunities, and respect. May we learn to be kinder and free ourselves from the toxic mentality that a person’s disability justifies insulting, judging, or discriminating against someone. I strongly denounce the mockery of Josh Aquino, a person with disability, in a recent podcast episode. I urge the National Council on Disability Affairs to coordinate with the appropriate government agencies to probe this incident, determine whether any provisions of the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability (RA 7277, as amended by RA 9442) were violated, and pursue appropriate action to hold to account parties responsible for the incident. Hindi natin dapat palagpasin ang anumang uri ng pangungutya, pang-aapi, at pang-aabuso sa ating mga kababayan, may kapansanan man o wala. Karapatan ng lahat na mabuhay nang may dignidad at malaya sa diskriminasyon.

Sa tulong ng Bagong Balikbayang Manggagawa Act, hindi magsisimula sa wala ang mga bayaning OFW sa pag-uwi nila ng Pilipinas. Kapag tuluyang naisabatas, kikilalanin na ang kanilang mga karanasang nakuha sa abroad, sa tulong ng TESDA at CHED. Magkakaroon din ng daan para sa civil service eligibility at puwedeng magturo sa mga pampublikong paaralan o unibersidad.

Sa mga nakalipas na buwan, nasaksihan ng buong bansa ang sunod-sunod na karahasan sa ating mga paaralan at isa sa mga tinitingnang dahilan ay ang exposure nila sa mapanganib at masamang online content. 2027 BUDGET NG DPWH, MAY RED FLAGS Sinuri natin ang 11,395 na proyekto ng DPWH para sa 2027 na nagkakahalaga ng P455.17 bilyon. Mahigit 62% o 7,107 sa mga ito ang may red flag. Matapos ang lahat ng pinagdaanan ng bansa dahil sa flood-control controversy, hindi natin hahayaang maipasa ang budget nang walang masusing pagsusuri.
