The numbers back this up. HammerDB TPROC-C on a 32-vCPU compute, write-path focused: Before (FPW on): 95,686 NOPM After (FPW off, image pushdown): 439,300 NOPM 4.5x throughput gain. In production, a 56-vCPU workload went from 30 MB/s WAL generation to 1 MB/s. p99 read latencies dropped 30-50%.

TPC is working on Version 2.0 of TPC-E which will have a reduced number of Initial Trade Days (ITD) from 300 to 90. This will ease running the workload and better simulate more general OLTP environments. Version 2.0 is in development and will be released in mid-2026.
