Since @up_banking’s approach to developer/open-source relations apparently includes deleting relevant community discussion, I’ll share the project directly instead: An unofficial, reverse-engineered SDK + CLI for interacting with your own Up account: github.com/alesya-h/reup

This is a striking piece of polling, the Greens and One Nation combined getting 48% of the vote for 18 to 34s. This is what it looks like when the major parties fail entire generations of people.

If Britain could harness the power of Horatio Nelson spinning in his grave, it could achieve net zero emissions tomorrow.
Wow, it has been a long way from the British Empire to this. Can you name a bigger downgrade?

"The federal government’s attempts to convince you their policies are solving the housing crisis can only be described as national gaslighting." No word of a lie unfortunately.
This chart shows social housing construction per 100k people over 60 years. If the federal government’s own target is achieved, they’ll be funding public housing at the same level as we were 30 years ago. Meanwhile, our population has grown over 50% and there’s an existing shortfall while we continue to pump immigration that adds much more to demand than it does to supply capacity. And they’re not even directly building them - they’re so incapable and it takes so long that they’re buying them to achieve their political target, which is basically just shifting some of the overall new supply from private to public. The federal government’s attempts to convince you their policies are solving the housing crisis can only be described as national gaslighting.

I have landed my dream job. I’ve just accepted a position at Harmonic, a Palo Alto startup applying AI to formal mathematical reasoning. Harmonic’s Aristotle formal reasoning model achieved Gold Medal level performance at this year’s International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). I will work on exploring applications of Aristotle to the formal verification of hardware. This job is a perfect intersection of hardware design and verification, functional programming, formal methods and machine learning, bringing together several threads of my career so far. The beauty of asking an AI to generate a proof for a lemma (e.g. a formal property about a circuit) is that it can be checked by an external interactive theorem prover (like Lean) to establish whether the AI’s output is actually correct. This is an awesome superpower! harmonic.fun/ @HarmonicMath

A popular NPM package got compromised, attackers updated it to run a post-install script that steals secrets But the script is a *prompt* run by the user's installation of Claude Code. This avoids it being detected by tools that analyze code for malware You just got vibepwned
