The nuclear power concern is just a (admittedly dumb) side bit, the vendor change is primarily about quality and economics.
Berlin-based search engine Ecosia, used by government services, is dropping its French AI partner, Mistral, its CEO told POLITICO.
The company will now bet on open-source models, including those from China.

I've seen a ton of posts about a fourth person who also deserved this Nobel, Ed Boyden, but not much about Zhuo-Hua Pan. The history below and the article about Pan are wild. A small lab, a vision-only framing, and two paper rejections are most of the reason his name isn't in the citation history.
Feb 2004: Zhuo-Hua Pan, at Wayne State, has the protein ChR2 firing cultured retinal ganglion cells. (His account.)
Jul 2004: Pan uses a virus to deliver ChR2 into living rat retinas; five weeks later he records light-evoked responses in vivo. (His account.)
Aug 2004: Ed Boyden, working with Deisseroth at Stanford, gets light-driven spikes in cultured hippocampal neurons.
Nov 2004: Pan submits to Nature, whose editors send him to Nature Neuroscience, which rejects it. The Journal of Neuroscience rejects it next.
May 2005: Pan presents at the ARVO meeting. That 15-minute talk and its abstract are the first public record: ChR2 in rat retinal neurons in vivo, light-evoked depolarization.
Aug 2005: Boyden, Zhang, Bamberg, Nagel and Deisseroth publish in Nature Neuroscience, framed as a general tool. (The editor later told Pan that framing, not the biology, was the difference. His paper read as a vision-restoration finding, theirs as a technology.) Pan's own paper lands in Neuron in April 2006, by which point three other groups had published on ChR2 in neurons.
The patent office treated Pan’s May 2005 abstract as prior art and rejected a Stanford patent more than once. It didn't issue until March 2016, after Boyden and Deisseroth signed a declaration that they had conceived the method in the lab before that abstract.
"Boyden, who is now a professor at MIT, was surprised when told by STAT that Pan ran the experiment first.
"Wow. Interesting. I didn't know that," Boyden said."
How much of this is the rejections and how much is that Deisseroth and Boyden saw the general tool while Pan was aiming at blindness? Probably both. But it's a reminder that what counts as inventing something in science is mostly a question of who publishes, and publishing is not a neutral process.

Oh,
Wow: Of 11-12,000 undergraduate degrees at UT, only 300 were in any humanities program. That includes History and English: thedailytexan.com/2026/09/22…

Habakkuk 3 describes God coming from the south from Teiman, Paran, Midian and Kushan. This poem calls God Eloah, as he is often called in the book of Job which some scholars believe to have originally been an Edomite folktale.

Big Belly in Islam?
Ibn Rajab:
Some scholars said:
"If you have a big stomach, you should consider yourself disabled until you become slim."
Al-Jami, page 519
Al-Hasan reported:
ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb رضي الله عنه saw a man with a large belly and said, ‘What is this?’

BRO the judge is not “bad at writing.” he is writing for a CASTE.
“the witness changed his story” is too easy. some random guy can understand that FOR FREE.
so now it’s “paved the path of tergiversation” and suddenly you need a lawyer to translate your own fucking court case back into english.
Marx forgot the funniest means of production: sentences.
plain-language judgments would be revolutionary solely because Ramesh could open the PDF and know if he won.

There is a CIVIL WAR between gentiles and goyim, and the GOYIM have GOT to GO! Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE gentiles, but I HATE the goyim. Nothing makes goyim happier than not knowin shit. "What are the letters in algebra for?" "What do those words even mean?" And goyim always want credit for shit they're supposed to do. "I paid the interest!" You're SUPPOSED to PAY the INTEREST.
Tucker Carlson asks why algebra puts letters into numbers.
Jess Elofson explains: "I think just to fuck with you."
They discuss how they've never met anyone in their life who uses algebra, which is "fake math" for people "in the matrix."
They conclude that caring about algebra is something that only "good little goy slaves" do.
