Liverpool 2-2 Nottingham Forest FT thoughts: Alisson - shite, couldn't save a PDF Kerkez - sigh Virg - dragging around shite Jacquet - young, great block, but has a mistake in him Frimpong - why? Macca - can't buy a duel Szobo - can't buy a duel Wirtz - Assist, but we need more, pace in behind clearly works Muñoz - baller, some finish, pace in behind is deadly Gakpo - runs in behind, our most effective forward Isak - Poacher, in the right spot, otherwise quiet Tsimikas - why? Grav - actually a pivot player Rio - needs time, still a kid Araujo - bruiser, just an enforcer at CB Nyoni - The Black Adam Wharton, but can improve his OOP skills Iraola - saved by individual brilliance, again #LFC

Never a penalty in a million fucking years. Corruption blatant yet again after Man Utd and Spurs lost yesterday.

A familiar feeling after last season. Newcastle concede a last kick of the game penalty. Should have held on for the win. It was a soft penalty, Hall dangled out a knee rather than a leg and Munoz made sure he ran into it. But as soon as it’s given on the field never going to be overturned. Lots of positives though not least the performance of Yoane Wissa #nufc

🚨 BREAKING / EXCLUSIVE 🚨 Liverpool have identified Brighton & Hove Albion’s explosive winger Yankuba Minteh as a concrete transfer target 🎯 We understand @LFC are exploring the situation.

Argentina FA President Claudio Tapia: "If Infantino retires, Argentina will not play in the next World Cup." 👀

Fee agreed for Brazil international Bruno Guimaraes which is the first time #nufc have signed a Brazil international since Mirandinha in 1987 ,

Bruno Guimaraes keen for Arsenal move in latest Newcastle blow but not sure he wants to force an exit telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

I’m told Bruno is extremely emotional following Brazil’s early exit from the World Cup. This is probably his last chance to secure a big money move to a team competing for title and Champions League. But he does not want to tarnish his legacy at Newcastle and will only leave if clubs can agree a price. Newcastle valuation is around the £100m fee they received for Tonali. No chance they sell at £50-60m Very unlikely Bruno goes down the same path as Isak to force an exit but he would like a move to Arsenal. More to follow @TeleFootball #nufc #arsenal

The intro to Gazzetta Football Italia, from this day in 1995. Featuring that changing Channel 4 logo, the instantly recognisable theme music, Gianluca Vialli, Kenneth Wolstenholme, and of course James Richardson. Pure class. 🇮🇹
