Exact same thing happened to me and @AdrianneCurry
I rented a car from @Enterprise O-hare in Chicago when I visited. I had to sign up to pay my tolls online. I checked my account DAILY. My tolls never registered under my plate # and dates traveled. They went directly to enterprise and billed me, resulting in a penalty from the rental car agency. Good ole Chicago Corruption

Boomers will literally wait in a hotel line to tell someone at the front desk that they are "checking out" instead of just going home.

I have a theory I've developed using my vast knowledge of mysterious, frightening phenomena. I believe they're doing two things: 1. They're eating the dogs. 2. They're eating the cats.

There’s got to be a pretty good chance at this point that facade inspection sidewalk sheds have been responsible for more injuries than debris falling off of poorly maintained facades, right?
Today, scaffolding collapsed on W. 29th St. between Seventh & Eighth Aves after being accidentally struck by a box truck. According to police, three people were injured—one seriously—and transported to Bellevue Medical Center.

"we're spending $1 million in taxpayer money so professors can mail each other little notes?? we have a post office—these toys for academics are emblems of waste" —DOGE, 1969, killing arpanet
I'm not sure why it's so hard for so many smart people to understand what's going on here The crazy science projects are emblems of the waste, they are not the point of the efficiency thrust

American conservatism just doesn’t appeal to me because I’m not scared of everything.. not scared of immigrants, crime, using public transportation, cities. I’m interested in other people and like talking to them. Even if someone is weird it doesn’t really bother me.

lots of american flags and biography here, but don't be ridiculous, you can't get elected to the senate in your 40s in a devastating democratic defeat and then run for president in the next election
To my campaign team, to all the volunteers, and our supporters; to the unions and community groups who stood and fought alongside us:  Thank you!

One good point Matt Yglesias and others make about the "trans prisoners" ad is that it arose out of an answer Harris gave to an ACLU questionnaire. Which gives rise to the question: why was the ACLU sending out questionnaires asking for embarrassing answers from Dem candidates?
