Make sure to follow our Discord Live-Development channel with updates, well... every few minutes is not unusual. Almost each and every day since the early 2017 as YouTube LIVE streams keep on rolling ✨
🐧 GRIDNET Core is coming to Linux.
Not just Linux: ARM.
For 48 hours straight our team has been porting it to one board in particular, the OrangePi 6 Plus: 32 GB RAM, 12-core CPU, Mali GPU and an NPU.
It's already mining and syncing with Live-net. 🧵
On tools: Astra by OpenAI has put 15+ hours into this port so far and is still going.
The architectural calls were still ours. But without it, nobody would have had time for a port this size alongside everything else we're building.
Every issue and every fix of this port is happening in public, in our Discord #live-development channel.
Come watch GRIDNET Core land on ARM Linux, and share this with anyone who loves a good port. 🐧✨
You type a movie name into GRIDNET OS search. Click. Watch.
Underneath: the stream is being stitched in real time from the global BitTorrent swarm, from GRIDNET Tier 2 storage, and from paid Core relays. Every hop that helped move a byte gets paid. 🧵
Every video, audio file, and dataset in the world becomes:
• searchable from one taskbar
• streamable with one click
• income-generating if you helped move it
Storage that pays. Streaming that pays. Search that finds.
We ship rules and mechanics faster than screenshots.
Live rulings, measured runs, and new architectural pieces land in our Discord #live-development channel first — come watch it happen.
Storage becomes an asset. Now the fun part. ✨
