This further cements what I was trying to explain last week. That 8-1 vote included legislators extending the timeline to reach agreements. It did not finalize that the measure would appear on the April ballot. And that is very much in doubt now.
Frank White vetoed the stadium ballot measure. Three county legislators — Jeanie Lauer, Megan Marshall and Jalen Anderson — are supporting his veto. I'm hearing another might release a similar statement. The Chiefs and Royals need six (of nine) votes to override a veto on Monday.
