Yup. Never travelled anywhere without the .357 Magnum when I lived there.
Pinetown, RPA: mężczyzna i kobieta wyjeżdżali samochodem przez bramę. Nagle podjechał SUV i zastawił im drogę.
Oczy dookoła głowy i broń w pogotowiu.

War with the wrong enemy. The enemy of the UK is within it's own borders !
A powerful intervention from the head of the Army. Something is coming, and government needs to wake up.
He says the public will have to make sacrifices so we can prioritise defence and security.
This is no time for “national security can’t come at the expense of social security”. Hard choices are coming whether ministers like it or not.
I have been clear where I would start: cut welfare spending and put the money into defence.

I went to witness the riots in Paris.
I’m going to tell you the truth: it was only young people from African immigrant backgrounds who came to attack our police officers and firefighters, loot our shops, and destroy everything.
An elderly French couple in their 80s was robbed and left in their underwear in the street.
The steeple of a 150-year-old church was completely burned down.
This is not a social revolt for better education.
It’s a taste of an ethnic war that took place today.

So I went to the Paris Motor Show...
Here's what I found 👇
- European and US car manufacturers are in massive trouble. The features and materials used in their cars are just so far behind.
- Many western car brands offer cars for €60–80k with plastic interior finishings. Even the AMG Mercedes had this. Always thought they were "Premium".
- The price differences are crazy. €40k gets you a shitty Kia with plastic trim and a curved panoramic screen.
For the same price, you can get a BYD Sealion with leather finishings, much more features and a premium feel.
- Chinese cars get you so much more for your money, and in many cases cost less. I don't know who would ever choose a Tesla over XPeng or Zeekr... they aren't even playing in the same league.
- The busiest stalls were mostly Chinese cars. The level of interest was staggering. Zeekr, BYD, XPeng and Aito were by far the busiest, with big lines to view and sit in the cars.
- Literally no western cars I saw had a TV screen in the back or a fridge built into the console.
- I was surprised the most by Aito. Beautiful cars that are premium, luxurious and customisable, like having 2 seats in the back instead of 3.
Nice that they offered all their models in either electric or hybrid. Means you don't need to sacrifice design or features for any model.

EU and US cars, watch out.
Your brand image won't help you for much longer.

Ukrainians bought €2,000,000,000 (BILLION) of real estate in Spain in 2026 (Spanish Notaries Council).
Spain gave Ukraine €2.7 BILLION in 2022-2025.
And €2 BILLION of it went straight into Spanish villas.
Not bad.

Between 1997 and 2001, Land Rover South Africa built a Defender the rest of the world never got, with a BMW 3 Series engine under the bonnet.
The Defender 2.8i used the M52, the 2.8 litre straight six from the E36 328i, making around 193 PS and 280 Nm.
This was literally the solution to the thirsty Rover V8 and the sluggish 300Tdi.
It came with a five-speed manual gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive with locking center differential.
It was sold only in South Africa, and production totalled 1,395: 656 Defender 90s and 739 Defender 110s.
The timing explains it.
BMW bought the Rover Group, Land Rover included, in 1994.
Land Rover South Africa developed the 2.8i in close collaboration with BMW, at a time when the project was a top priority.
It was a major step up in performance over the Defender engines before it.
Today, South African specialists restore these M52 cars as collector pieces.
