And that is exactly the reason Canada should be stopping all further purchases of the F 35
A Ban on Self-Defense Imagine buying a Lenovo computer, a Bosch appliance, a Toyota, or simply paying for a Netflix subscription. You pay for it, use it, and stick to the terms of the agreement. Then one day, it suddenly stops working. You call customer support, and they tell you: “There’s nothing wrong with your device. The company owner has simply decided you shouldn’t be allowed to use it today. He has his own views on things.” Sounds absurd? Of course. That’s why we have laws, contracts, consumer rights, and corporate accountability. Even when a company has the right to restrict a service, that right should be clearly stated in the agreement, and there should be a legitimate reason for exercising it. But apparently, Starlink operates under different rules. Elon Musk controls one of the world’s most important satellite communication systems. He has the technical ability to restrict its operation remotely. And right now, people’s lives depend on that connection, including Ukrainian soldiers and civilians. On October 14, 2026, Reuters reported new restrictions on satellite communications for Ukrainian forces. These restrictions disrupted drone operations and forced the cancellation of some combat missions. Put simply, operations to destroy russian missile launchers were disrupted. Those same launchers remained intact, continued firing at Ukrainian cities, and killed more civilians, including women and children. And unfortunately, this has happened before. In 2022, during Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the Kherson region, Starlink connections went down. Reuters later published an investigation reporting that Musk had personally ordered coverage restrictions in areas where Ukrainian forces were advancing. That same year, he refused to activate Starlink coverage near Crimea for a Ukrainian naval drone operation against the russian fleet. In 2023, SpaceX executives openly acknowledged that the company had restricted Ukraine’s ability to use Starlink to control drones. Somehow, we’ve ended up in a world where a country under attack has to keep explaining why it has the right to defend itself. Where strikes against the aggressor’s territory spark more debate about escalation than the daily russian bombardment of Ukrainian cities. And now, a private businessman can influence that country’s ability to defend itself. All of this is happening while the world knows perfectly well who putin is and what his wars have cost. Chechnya. The Second Chechen War began in 1999 and claimed up to 25,000 lives, mostly civilians, according to human rights estimates. The exact number of children killed remains unknown. Georgia. In 2008, according to Georgian authorities, 228 civilians were killed. Children were among the victims. Ukraine. Since 2014, thousands of civilians have been killed. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion alone, the United Nations had confirmed more than 16,000 civilian deaths by mid-2026, including more than 800 children. The real numbers are almost certainly much higher. We could also talk about Syria, where russian military operations have caused thousands of civilian deaths, including children, according to independent monitoring organizations. And after all of this, we’re still discussing whether we should be afraid of making putin angry. Let me remind you that the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for putin over alleged war crimes involving the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children. That is why I call putin’s regime a terrorist regime. So, is Musk deliberately helping russia? Some of the Starlink restrictions have had consequences that benefited the russian military. I believe the public has every right to demand an investigation into whether those consequences were intentional. I’m not naive. I understand perfectly well that when you’re drowning, you often have to save yourself. Ukraine has been living with that reality since 2014.

This fundraiser is just getting started, and sharing helps so much in the early days. Const. Mike McCurdy’s heroic actions prevented a tragic attack on the Jewish community, saving countless lives. While he’s physically okay, the emotional toll is significant, and he deserves our support. Please consider donating or sharing to help us show our gratitude and ensure he feels the community’s appreciation. Every share makes a difference! gofund.me/b93cdef19

This community synagogue in Belleville was attacked while gathering for Yom Kippur, and now they need help to rebuild and secure their space. They’re aiming to raise $90,000 for essential security work like repairing windows and strengthening the building. With 75% of the goal reached in just 3 days, this is a sign of strong support, but they still need help to hit the finish line. Even a small donation or share can make a difference in helping families, children, and elders feel safe to gather again. Please consider donating or sharing to help them reach their goal and keep their community safe and strong. gofund.me/a9dfe8d48

This small synagogue in Belleville was attacked while our community was gathering for Yom Kippur, and now they need help to rebuild and secure their space. They’re aiming to raise $90,000 to repair windows damaged by gunfire and strengthen security so everyone can feel safe again. Even a small donation can make a difference—$25, $100, or whatever you can give. Please share or donate if you can so this community can continue to gather, pray, and celebrate Jewish life without fear. Every bit helps in making their synagogue safe and welcoming once more. gofund.me/a16504187

Caledon, Ontario: These two stole all the bags of firewood available for sale roadside for the second time in less than a month. They have enough money for a +$100k Denali pickup but would rather steal than pay people for their hard work. Make them famous, these people are turning Canada into a low trust society.

Russia can stop the war tomorrow by stopping their invasion of a sovereign country and going back to their own side of the border
1000 Drones rained down on Moscow launched from Ukraine. How many Drones were sponsored by Canadian Tax Payers?

What Mark said!!
*sigh* One more time… BECAUSE TRUMP does not want a deal with Canada. He wants to force Canada into subjugation. He wants to destroy Canada as a nation, erase us from the map, seize our assets and make all Canadians US subjects. He uses chaos as a weapon of mass destruction.

The leader being protected by these people have no say over what form It takes that is the preview of the security detail leadership
How much security does Mark Carney need? You would think that they were escorting a violent criminal!

Yes that is kinda the point
Trump: "Mr. Zelenskyy has to stop knocking out diesel fuel in Russia, because he's causing a shortage of diesel fuel. This isn't done by the Middle East, this is done by what's happening with Russia and Ukraine." You morally bankrupt, victim-blaming narcissist, RUSSIA INVADED UKRAINE! We have been defending ourselves against a genocidal invasion for almost 5 years in a fight where everyone gave us a week, and you find nothing better to do than blame us for a crisis of your own making?! What’s worse, Russia’s war in Ukraine would have become unsustainable by now if your poorly planned endeavor in Iran hadn't fed russia massive amounts of oil revenue. You threw our lives to the wind! Because you can't plan your own operations, and instead of fixing the situation somewhat with air defense, you blame us for the very crisis you created at our expense!

Well said Sir!
Former Canada Prime Minister Jean Chrétien: "I have message for American friends...never mistake our generosity for weakness. Never mistake our tolerance for lack of determination. And never, never mistake our kindness for softness...We bow to no one."
7
Many of us who are not Americans have come to assume that Americans (even Democrats) tacitly agree with Trump that the whole of North America from the Panama Canal to Greenland and Canada should belong to them. The complacency is approval. No other first world nation would allow their leader to behave like this. Unless there is a serious glitch in your governmental system, the fact that he is still in office and hasn't been legally removed indicates widespread silent approval of his behaviour.
Exactly. Our growing complacency with these "presidential statements" is concerning. This is not normal.
