Do you like crime? I do. I wrote a book about crime and it's out today. It's set mainly in the 1970s and features a creepy AF house, posh people being posh, cocktails, terrible food and questionable fashion. Oh. And murder. Rather a bit of murder. 🔪🕵️‍♀️ amazon.co.uk/Coppers-End-Ste…

The latest episode we recorded I repeatedly say that Fire and Blood was written by Yandel rather than Gyldayn. So. Many. Times. I have punished myself so hopefully I can have my GRRM Nerd Card back asap.

I need 10 VPCs, 3 private and 3 public networks each, a bunch of network endpoints for S3 and that, deployed in different accounts. Everything needs to be named consistently and I'm going to need it done within the hour. Tick tock... Why are you still sat there?!
Oh yes I'll pick this fight.

Where do I claim my money?
You're offered $1 million, but you can never use React/React Native again. Do you accept?

Phew! I'm glad to be in this 1%. The state of #frontenddev is shocking.
Last I checked, it was at 94%. So things have got worse, more JS and media churn, clogging up networks and CPUs, wasting energy etc. How many layers of frameworks does the frontend zeitgeist recommend these days again?

Dear @marksandspencer, you won't lose any friends if you put pockets in your women's clothing.
Hi @marksandspencer! My husband & I bought matching pyjamas from you. Is there a reason he gets pockets and I don’t? The best way to make women happy is to give us pockets. Will you help end the tyranny of no pockets for us once and for all? #pockets #pockettyranny #patriarchy

Have an XML file with long lines and want to see the characters around a term without showing the whole line? One way is to use grep's -o option and quantifier regexes. The following will show 10 characters before and after the term 'foobar'. grep -E -o .{10}foobar.{10} info.xml

Yesterday's Mexican-themed all-hands meeting was extra joyful!🌯We heard an insightful talk from @grahamlyons about moving from #legacy to #AWS, after which everyone took part in cocktail making, some fancy dress, and lots of delicious food. Want to join our team? See the link 👇

Frustrating user experience on the @wizzair site. Date of birth field defaults to 2008, and you can only scroll by month and there's no way to type in manually. (I even tried editing the value in the input in the HTML manually but it's a readonly element doing some SPA magic).

I'm flattered, obviously, but I was born before 2008. A lot before.

It's the same for every date field on the page! Passport issue and expiry dates. I'm going to be doing a lot of scrolling.
