The actual debt number doesn’t end up on the balance sheet but, for an entity you do not control, you still have to record a guarantee liability at fair value. The more likely the entity is to default, the greater the liability is.
Data centers are being funded through SPV structures. Hyperscalers lease the facilities, and often guarantee the debt and provide equity. This allows Big Tech to keep the debt off balance sheet.

(B3: BRST3) ("Company" or "Brisanet"), in accordance with Article 157(4) of Law No. 6,404, dated December 15, 1976, and in accordance with CVM Resolution No. 44, dated August 23, 2021, hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, together with Unifique Telecomunicações S.A. and lez! Telecom, it has signed a Commercial Agreement with AST SpaceMobile to offer mobile satellite broadband services (also known as Direct-to-Device-D2D) throughout Brazil. Regional mobile operators will make available the 700 MHz band radio frequencies they hold and will be responsible for investing in the infrastructure needed to connect their mobile networks to AST SpaceMobile's satellite constellation via ground gateways. The collaboration aims to enable voice calls, broadband data, and video streaming directly on standard smartphones, without any modifications, eliminating the need for specialized equipment, software updates, or apps. By integrating satellite connectivity into its existing mobile network, the company aims to expand coverage wherever people live, work, and travel, allowing customers to stay connected even when they are out of range of terrestrial networks. The initiative reinforces the commitment of regional operators to expand connectivity throughout the country and complements the investments they are already making to expand their terrestrial networks. According to José Roberto Nogueira, founder and CEO: "The partnership with AST SpaceMobile complements our network and allows us to extend connectivity beyond the reach of our terrestrial infrastructure, offering customers access to voice and mobile broadband services in more locations using the smartphones they already own; this secures Brisanet's place in the future of connectivity." The final details of the agreement are still being negotiated, and the transaction is subject to certain conditions. The Company will keep the market informed of the transaction's progress and any new developments. Pereiro/CE, October 23, 2026 Luciana Paulo Ferreira Investor Relations Officer

Don’t contribute to charity, because then politicians don’t get a slice! Some are calling this the most French opinion of all time.
Hi @elonmusk , we’ve conducted the most comprehensive study to date on tax unfairness in the United States. We found that you, like your fellow billionaires, pay a lower effective tax rate than the average American. So if you really want to help the American people, I have a better suggestion than charity: pay more taxes. 🧵

All of the major telecoms are joining forces to protect their interests from SpaceX. I suspect after this slew of contracted launches, SpaceX won’t be launching any more bluebirds to fight for their own. Let’s get BONG back on the pad. $ASTS
$ASTS: 🚨🇪🇺 AST SPACEMOBILE ADVANCES SPACE-BASED CELLULAR BROADBAND IN EUROPE IN COLLABORATION WITH EUROPEAN MOBILE NETWORK OPERATOR PARTNERS Collaboration among Europe’s four largest mobile network operators expected to accelerate network integration, expand coverage and improve connectivity for the citizens of Europe Dedicated European-operated ground infrastructure and BlueBird satellite capabilities support service readiness across more than 500 million mobile subscribers MIDLAND, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AST SpaceMobile, Inc. (“AST SpaceMobile”) (NASDAQ: ASTS), the company building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network accessible directly by everyday smartphones, designed for both commercial and government applications, welcomes the Letter of Intent signed by its mobile network operator partners Deutsche Telekom, Orange, Telefónica and Vodafone to explore a potential joint bid for Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) spectrum as AST SpaceMobile continues to advance service readiness across Europe. The collaboration among Europe’s four largest mobile network operators is expected to accelerate network integration, improve the customer experience and extend coverage into areas without reliable mobile connectivity. The initiative supports a coordinated approach to spectrum access and service deployment, strengthening European digital data sovereignty while enabling operators to deliver space-based cellular broadband through their existing mobile services. “Europe’s mobile network operators are taking an important step toward extending connectivity to every subscriber, wherever they live, work and travel,” said Wayne Thorsen, Chief Commercial Officer of AST SpaceMobile. “Our role is to support our partners with the satellite technology, spectrum capabilities and ground infrastructure needed to deliver cellular broadband directly to the phones people already use. Together, we are building a third layer of connectivity that expands coverage and strengthens the resilience of Europe’s mobile networks.” AST SpaceMobile’s existing European joint venture, Satellite Connect Europe, AST SpaceMobile is providing a dedicated network of European-operated ground infrastructure that link its BlueBird satellites with mobile operators’ core networks. This infrastructure is designed to support coverage across Europe, a market with over 500 million mobile subscribers, while keeping data handling and service control within European jurisdiction. Operators retain their customer relationships as satellite connectivity extends the reach of their terrestrial networks. AST SpaceMobile’s BlueBird satellites feature the largest communication satellites ever deployed in low Earth orbit and connect directly to standard, unmodified smartphones, backed by 3,900 patent and patent pending claims. The company has demonstrated peak download speeds of 98.9 Mbps, with next-generation satellites expected to deliver peak data rates approaching 200 Mbps. These capabilities are designed to support voice, video and broadband services for consumers, businesses, first responders and governments. The Company’s satellite technology can tune across approximately 1,150 MHz of mobile network operator partners’ low- and mid-band spectrum globally. Together with AST SpaceMobile’s S-band priority rights, this flexibility enables the Company to combine participating operators’ spectrum with satellite spectrum to support expanded coverage and capacity in European markets, subject to applicable authorizations. About AST SpaceMobile AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices based on our extensive IP and patent portfolio, and designed for both commercial and government applications. Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to enable 4G and 5G space-based cellular broadband to every device, everywhere, for today’s nearly 6 billion mobile subscribers globally. $ASTS: SpaceX probably spent $30-40B (so far) from buying spectrum to D2D satellite development. There’s a reason they’re spending that kind of money. $SPCX itself has forecasted the TAM for Starlink Mobile at $740B. Just think about it. The TAM is more or less every electronic device on Earth that can cellular networks — from consumer to enterprise to government. It’s no longer a “niche tech” but one that will probably generate hundreds of billions of FCF from the endless use cases that will come out of it (at very high margins). Once the satellites are in orbit, they print money. D2D is likely going to be a duopoly or 3/4 players at best due the scarcity of spectrum and the capital required to develop and launch sats (tens of billions). Right now the bet is binary and straightforward. - BUY the stock if you think MNOs +AST (their only viable option + maybe Amazon LEO) will continue to dominate and/or AST will generate substantial revenue from non-consumer applications like government, defense, enterprise, emergency, IOT, and more. - SELL the stock if you think Starlink will crush every single MNO across the entire world (8.8 billion wireless connections) and and capture the entire market share of D2D across every consumer and non-consumer. It’s literally that simple.

$ASTS: 🚨🇺🇸🇯🇵JOINT STATEMENT ON US-JAPAN TECHNOLOGY PROSPERITY DEAL HIGHLIGHTS AST SPACEMOBILE-RAKUTEN JOINT DEVELOPMENT AND DEPLOYMENT OF LEO SATELLITE INFRASTRUCTURE The U.S. and Japanese governments are now jointly promoting AST SpaceMobile + Rakuten under the U.S.–Japan Technology Prosperity Deal for the development and deployment of LEO satellite infrastructure. That effectively places AST inside the broader strategic and economic relationship between the two countries. The significance is that AST/Rakuten is being framed not just as a telecom service, but as infrastructure that can advance economic development, technological leadership, resilient communications and national strategic interests. It seems very clear that the AST/Rakuten JV project aligns with priorities both US and Japanese governments want to see built, funded and scaled. This fits directly with the broader J-LEO opportunity and AST’s potential access to substantial non-dilutive government-backed capital. Japan wants sovereign, resilient next-generation connectivity, while the U.S. wants trusted American technology deployed across allied markets. AST + Rakuten sits right at the intersection of those objectives — commercial growth backed by strategic alignment at the government-to-government level.
