we’re hiring junior account executives in the US 🇺🇸
straight to the point:
i’m opening a few AE spots at InEvent — and if you’re interested, DM me.
i’ll fast-track your application myself.
✨ bonus points:
experience in catering, hospitality, bartending, or any events-adjacent work is a real plus.
people who’ve worked in events understand urgency, service, and energy — and they thrive here.
I don't get this vibe of "hating" event tech companies. Maybe is the hacker culture among industry planners that want to create their own thing and disavow the corporate tech solutions?
Most typical story in eventtech:
"I loved your InEvent software! Love it!"
on the next call:
"oh I just discovered we have a contract with cvent for the next 6 years"
🏸
It's so funny how so many of the attendees at IMEX or other hosted buyers shows are there just for the "free travel". I mean, we don't have time to vacation on PTO and we are traveling then on business hours instead?
We did 100 things and +++ of them worked:
- Price match (great idea but nobody cares)
- Discounts (only worked for poor clients, the enterprise ones see this as a weakness)
So we are back to our standard deal, per admin, or registration, or unlimited. Most cannot afford but?
I am seeing an exodus of tech talent from the event tech industry to AI tech, building agents on non event related industries. We might be on the verge of a tech labor crisis in events.
I just cancelled all Zoom Meetings subscriptions at @ineventapp. Their support is freaking awful. We were a client for 8 years.
It's funny how the only person that interacts on this app and belongs to event tech is me and @tojulius. Where is everybody else?
We think virtual events are dead.
But events like this from Apple show that virtual is still not dead.
2.7 million people LIVE. Not on demand.
Apple event is being watched by 3 million people on YouTube.
Assuming 500KB/s video size, Google is egressing 1.5TB/s for just this one video!
If you think about delivering this video via AWS, it'll cost you about $150 every single second of video playback!
