From across the ocean, this Australian gives a raw, unfiltered look at modern America. It’s a perspective most people are too afraid to say out loud, but it impacts all of us, no matter where we live.
This is a global wake-up call.

'Manoeuvre without regret' - running an adversaries satellite out of precious fuel/DeltaV now a valid tactic in orbit. As discussed in last month's Aerosociety Assured Space Conference aerosociety.com/news/securin…
Russian Kosmos 2612 and ICEYE-X36 (providing Ukraine military support) are now in perfect sync with each other. The Russian military satellite is intentionally stalking and tracking the Western radar satellite. Keeping a satellite "bumper-to-bumper" in this manner allows Russia to intercept or jam data transmissions, physically inspect Western technology, or quickly pivot to execute a kinetic or non-kinetic anti-satellite (ASAT) attack with very little warning or fuel expenditure.
Kosmos 2612 executed a series of highly precise, fuel-heavy maneuvers to force itself into a "coplanar" orbit—matching ICEYE-X36's exact altitude (~555 km), speed, and inclination (~97.8°). The ICEYE-X36 satellite is giving the Ukraine military support.

Pelvic organ prolapse - bladder or vaginal - affects about 1 in 12 Australian women. It's often linked to physical strain, heavy lifting or past childbirth. It’s uncomfortable and debilitating.
Jacqui Lambie has shown courage and honesty in speaking of her experience of vaginal prolapse. She’s talked about an awkward subject to make it easier for other affected women.
Pauline Hanson thinks that's worth making fun of.
One Jacqui Lambie is worth 1,000 Pauline Hansons.

The toxic anti-immigration rhetoric that Hanson spreads throughout this country is not new. It is a modern anti-immigration strategy designed for a specific purpose. Immigration itself is NOT the root cause of insecurity, fear, hate & stress around the world. Human migration has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years without antiquated angst. As I’ve said in previous posts - we’ve all been blending together for so long that we are pretty much all of bitzer origin. Any DNA evidence is likely to support that hypothesis.
So what are the real issues?
Anti-immigration sentiment has spread globally through a combination of factors:
-Perceived economic insecurity.
-Cultural anxiety.
-fast-moving online misinformation.
-Political opportunism.
-“Cost-of-living crises, housing shortages & post-pandemic recovery struggles lead working-class populations to blame international migrants for local financial stress” (abc). The fact that this state of mind is helped along by RW dog whistling, gaslighting & media/social media fear mongering & misinformation cannot be overstated or underestimated & should be questioned.
-“Far right & nationalist groups often frame demographic shifts & Islamic or non-Western immigration as an existential threat to tradition or national identity” (abc news)
-“Unverified rumours, manipulated videos & fringe content travel rapidly on platforms like x,Telegram, Facebook & TikTok -turning localised incidents into wide panic”. (National Institute of Health)
- & not least important - but the most insidious - is political exploitation of these factors. Look at what is being pushed around the world & you will find a common populist theme. Hardline promises on deportations, border walls & asylum restrictions - all “churned out to capture voter dissatisfaction” (ODI).
Populist political movements use emotion to motivate people. They NEED a scapegoat to deflect responsibility for real solutions. Their strategy shifts attention away from the causes of economic & social instability because they don’t have any real answers to urban planning, low investment, low wage growth & tax concessions themselves - but that’s not their real concern or objective anyway.
So, how do you distract from the root causes when you have no answers - but you want to create enough chaos & division to make it look like you might have the holy grail tucked into an orifice somewhere?
Blame. The. Immigrants.
..those wicked immigrants must be the cause of all your ills.. but only SOME immigrants.. not the ones who are “real” Australian (insert your country of choice here) patriots whose ancestors immigrated here to make a good life for themselves in the last too-many years to count… but anyone else whose skin is suspiciously darker than white, who might speak more than 1 language at home & who might practice a religion that you are told not to like.
Jaw dropping hypocrisy, to be sure.
Fear mongering, gaslighting & misinforming the masses to make anti-immigration look like the only option, the right option, but suspiciously not the far-right option is in global populist vogue right now.
The positive & factual data regarding immigration & immigrants tends to discredit anti-immigration rhetoric - but they don’t want you to look at facts & data.
Migration has shaped Australia’s workforce, economy & society. Migrants have added hundreds of billions of dollars to the Australian economy. Migrants fill critical shortages in key areas while also countering an ageing population. Migrants also boost employment rates for Australian-born workers. Fact.
Stopping immigration completely in this country would trigger a SEVERE contraction in economic growth, accelerate population ageing & strain public budgets - “while paradoxically failing to provide a quick fix for housing affordability”. Fact.
Populism isn’t interested in facts. It is more interested in fear mongering, sensationalism & enabling hate & division to control the narrative. Fact

A catastrophic blast at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta has reportedly resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries during a live fire military training operation.
According to local sources on base, Canadian Forces personnel had been conducting exercises over several days when an artillery projectile reportedly struck an active natural gas well on the bombing range, triggering a massive detonation.
The blast is said to have levelled nearby tactical training buildings, with subsequent fires reaching munitions storage and setting off secondary detonations across the range.
The geography and infrastructure;
➟ CFB Wainwright has a documented history of natural gas production, with approximately 180 wells reported on the military property in 2014.
➟ Military range maps identify munitions storage, pipelines and designated live fire danger areas near Peterson Pond.
➟ NASA FIRMS satellite imagery recorded multiple thermal hotspots between Peterson Pond and Jamieson Lake on October 17.
Local accounts also describe hospitals activating Code Orange protocols, mobilizing stretchers and preparing for a significant influx of casualties.
The reported gas well strike, secondary detonations and hospital emergency measures remain unconfirmed as authorities investigate the incident.
Should these reports be confirmed, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved and affected.

Porleen for PM (and the Beetrooter) commit Australia to an economy-wide depression with One Nation’s policy of slashing immigration. Immigration has helped to build Australia, stuck down here near the South Pole, into a First World economy. Yes we have challenges ahead, but multiculturalism is a net benefit. 👇
This is based on assumption ON’s negative NOM target would be delivered. But ON’s announced policy changes would go nowhere near delivering negative NOM for 3 years without biggest economic depression in OZ history. The depression would have to come first. smh.com.au/politics/federal/…

Our assessment is that the wave of violence and arson accompanying the ongoing protests and riots in France, and its subsequent online amplification by international right-wing propaganda networks, may indicate a coordinated hybrid operation involving Russian intelligence services, in collaboration with actors linked to the United States and Israel. The extent of foreign involvement, including any coordination between the suspected actors, remains unverified. It warrants further investigation.
Jesus. This may be so much worse than initial reports. Praying it’s not true…
Accounts from someone on the firing line was it was a shoulder fired HE round that "Dolphined" after it left the tube and went astray. NOT artillery.
This round hit a gas well which exploded and flattened the 3 Kill Houses that were full of troops which happened to be in close proximity of the well. Approx 300 troops inside and many waiting outside them. There is nothing but splinters left of them.
This also started a major fire that was fed by high winds that swept through the main Bivouac site housing the majority of troops in the field.
The amount of injured is staggering and the fatality count IS going to climb as they recover more victims.
In my 20+ years in the Army, I have only heard of a dolphining round happening once from a shoulder fired rocket. Not sure what would cause this other than possibly a faulty propellent.
