Low-level and high-quality libraries are the new JavaScript hype, not frameworks. Let's make the web great! I built floating-ellipsis for this purpose too. xitter.cf/gkurttech/status/21129…
Today we're launching an exciting new project: Highlights Highlights is a syntax highlighter that outputs HTML. It improves on both speed and correctness compared to the existing industry standard libraries. It's an optional drop-in replacement in Diffs, and it's ready to use today. In fact, it's already powering diffshub․com! Check it out at diffs.com/highlights OR `pnpm install @pierre/highlights`

Dear frontend and design engineers. I present to you floating-ellipsis. It's a package for detecting and customizing text truncation, implementing middle ellipses, and improving general UX. It's headless and customizable. You can use it with @reactjs, @shadcn, or any framework.

I tried it on a few live websites and saw improvements. This includes @vercel domains, @github PR reviews, and @claudeai web interface.

I have no idea why "Let's connect" posts work so well. But they are the most effective way for small accounts to grow. So, if you are into tech, start-ups, AI, web, mobile, or desktop apps, let's connect and grow together.

I have so many projects at 90% completion now, I've started to forget about some of them.

I over-engineered text truncation and middle ellipsis. Added lots of tiny UX wins. Releasing soon as an npm package.

Someone published an app that fakes Google Chrome on the Play Store and got 100k downloads. But when I try to publish an app, I need to get lots of approvals and 12 testers to prove I am not malicious 🤡

Last week I gained over 300 followers. X felt lonely and silent before that. Now I am wondering if I can reach 1000 followers in 2 weeks. If you are into tech, let's connect and support each other. I post about web, desktop & game development, and AI agents. #connect

What if you could eval JavaScript code in TypeScript...
Hmmm what if instead of Biome/Oxlint/Oxfmt you just had the same linting and formatting as part of tsc...

I created a small Vite plugin to see if collecting Tailwind class names into a single class name made any measurable difference. While the transfer sizes aren't a problem, especially with compression, there were a few small wins in runtime performance.
🤣fun fact: @vercel's @v0 ships over a kilobyte of @tailwindcss for every button on every page (and has for over a year)...
