Wild that this shipped to production without being caught... does anyone at Google reply to the AI Overview Results?

So much Gmail spam! Especially for people who are senior in their roles and have a long online history. Hard to escape the deluge.
gmail exposes me to a dozen obvious spam messages per day. mark as spam seems to do very little. you'd think google would have some vested interest in keeping email a usable message system - but it seems to be going the way of voice phone calls. death by spam.

🏖️ I think Gmail's spam filter might have been taking a little vacay that week. 🍹 💅🏻 No sweat for Kelp: none of these touched my Inbox.

90 days in the life of my Gmail inbox. It's been almost entirely junk-free with @trykelp! 252 messages dispatched without me lifting a finger.

The Leader of the Free World must stand unequivocally with free nations defending themselves: Ukraine against the Russian invaders, Israel against Iran’s Hezbollah and Hamas. Soleimani and Nasrallah deserved their demise. Putin deserves our repudiation.

#tbt 20 years ago today, I moved to New Zealand for the first time. It was an exciting adventure! Back then flight NZ17 was a 767-300 that made a fuel stop in Tahiti, and sometimes a second stop in Rarotonga. Grateful to be living here again today! 🙏

Great 🧵 on the tangled varieties of misinformation
On JRE & misinfo: I went on the podcast in early 2019 after Joe reached out a few times. He wanted to talk ab how state actors were messing around on social media, felt that independent of “collusion” claims, ppl should understand that. I said, your audience is going to hate me…

Is it just me or is @gmail spam filtering struggling in recent days? Lots of 1990's-era spam getting through with obviously garbage senders/headers/subjects: ///*Please_Confirmation-*39506` ****Please.respond****/// ***//We..have...an..important..message..for..you***//

Great paper out of 🇳🇿 shows that controlling property for socio-economic status (SES) is the key. When controlling for SES using proxies, alcohol still seems to have a positive benefit, but using actual SES reveals no benefits: academic.oup.com/psychsocger…

An amazing (and beautifully constructed) graphic.

22 people voted on the outcome of this decision. Of those 22, 15 are now either banned from FIFA for life, suspended, imprisoned or fighting extradition to the USA to face federal charges. Only, one still actually works for FIFA.
10 years ago today, this happened.
