People in a CxO / senior operating role often give up on inbound email: there's just too much. SaaS vendors, candidates, invitations to events, partnership requests. You can't just ignore it. Every once in a while there's something that's extremely valuable. What can be done?

Privacy is essential. We don't store your email, copy your contacts, or send mail on your behalf, and nothing trains an AI model. You stay in charge: every action shows on your dashboard and can be reversed in a click.

🏖️ I think Gmail's spam filter might have been taking a little vacay that week. 🍹 💅🏻 No sweat for Kelp: none of these touched my Inbox.

Gmail is basically unusable now… no spam protection whatsoever. I get about 30 of these emails a day. No idea what it is or where it’s from.

email has been dying since the 1990s, and it just died again according to substack, gmail pixel updates have killed open rates and you should therefore download their app instead some other notable deaths include: > spam overload > instant messaging > newsletter fatigue > myspace and facebook > RSS and google reader > x and instagram > AI replacing everything > slack and workplace chat > mobile push notifications here’s the reality (from someone not pushing propaganda to make you download an app): > 4.7 billion users globally > 376B+ emails sent daily > email is an open protocol (no one owns it) > there are no gatekeepers and no algorithm deciding your reach > every major creator has an email list > email isn't a platform, it's infrastructure > delivers ~$36 in revenue for every $1 spent email is the most powerful distribution channel on the internet - one of the only channels where you actually own the relationship with your audience email isn't dying.. but your reach on someone else's app can disappear overnight

Prediction: In less than 90 days, all channels that we thought were safe from spam & automation will be so flooded that they will no longer be usable in any functional sense: iMessage, phone calls, Gmail. And we will have no way to stop it.

Why can gmail not detect spam emails? - It has trillions of data points, of people marking emails as spam - For each spam email, they see it landing in 10k's of user inboxes Hasn't improved in 10+ years. There's just no competitor forcing them to do better.
