It's so refreshing to work with a true professional.
Brief plot discussion, one rehearsal, nailed it on the first take! What a pro.

We were thrilled with the opportunity to work with Stonewater, creating corten steel public art for their latest social housing scheme at Sturt Farm, Surrey. Their creative vision goes above and beyond the regular expectations for social housing & we were proud to contribute.

Have you ever wondered how to prune pine trees?
The truth is most of us have (gardeners) and most of us have dabbled but do we really understand what we’re doing? What the purpose of doing it is? How and when we should be doing it?
Pine pruning is a highly specialised task and nowhere is it better practiced than in Japan. So we’ve asked Togo Murata, a young Japanese gardener trained in Kyoto to show us all how.
Pine pruning occurs twice a year, with different techniques for different purposes. Here at @IchiCooPark we are going to commence a series of workshops starting on Saturday, the 22nd of November this year to demonstrate the art of winter pruning of pine trees. We have a great many examples that are in serious need of expert treatment and would like to share that experience with more of you.
Full details will be announced shortly but please put a note in your diaries now for Saturday 22nd November at 10 am till 4pm. There’ll be refreshments, knowledge, practice, camaraderie and lunch to be shared.
Email/DM me to let us know you’re interested.

An absolutely delightful display of tomatoes 🍅 from my allotment, ready to roast.
There’s a couple in there you won’t have seen before, as I’m trialling them, but I can assure you all, they’re absolutely delicious!

I’m always amazed at the horticultural talent in London.
You could walk round the corner of the most unsuspecting place, and be met with a Sempervivum cat.
Certainly worth celebrating such artistic flare 🔥 🎉

Some action footage from Thursday in Larryland. Yes, he's not getting any younger, and could maybe do with a comb, but he's still looking good.

We are 4 days into June, Men's Mental Health Month, and today alone I’ve already seen 3 videos online of women mocking it making fun of men that need help including a trending audio of “I don’t care” about June being Men’s Mental Health month. I even saw one woman making a joke about her committing domestic violence against men and laughing about it. Men make up 80% of all suicides each year (over 500,000) because men are less likely to seek support for mental health issues and video like I saw today are EXACTLY the reason why. Men’s mental health is still a joke to so many. We need to DO BETTER.

Know any young people or a career-changer interested in a career in Bonsai ?
Peter Chan, this country’s foremost proponent of this most creative of horticultural pursuits is looking for staff at Heron’s Bonsai near Felbridge. There is no better tutor on this topic, it would be an honour and a privilege for any young person.

Imagine if a man said something like this to women in the gym. The gym is for EVERYONE, period. If you don’t like it, stay home. Wait til she finds out Joseph Pilates, a man, invented Pilates.

If you’re new to the gym and need help, please ask the big “scary" men and women you see. The truth is we are some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet and we LOVE to help others. It's such a great feeling for us to be able teach someone and share our passion for the gym with you.
