Heartbroken to hear that Channel 4 is to be privatised.
Without its unflinching, risk-taking, eclectic form, the Paralympics would not have ever been given the chance to show the world what it could be.
What future, ignored corners of culture will remain unearthed?

They asked for ‘a debate’; 90% of submissions in that debate said it was a bad idea. But still they go ahead. Why do they want to make the UK’s great TV industry worse? Why? It makes no business, economic or even patriotic sense. theguardian.com/media/2022/a…

For days I’ve heard ‘it’s difficult - the Fossil Fuel/Energy/Big Ag/Farming/Fishing (& the rest) lobbying groups are SO powerful’. Yeah , so , strip them of that power - throw them out . They shouldn’t be at @COP26 . Lobbying begets corruption & that corruption is killing us here

Almost 2⃣,0⃣0⃣0⃣ swimming pools could be lost forever by the end of the decade unless the Government and local authorities ‘act now’ to replace ageing facilities.

"None of the world's major economies - including the entire G20 - have a climate plan that meets their obligations under the 2015 Paris Agreement"
This is of course excluding huge parts of our emissions and aspect of equity. Not even then are we on track.
