I started my history channel to fight back against mass-produced AI “history” slop.
80k subscribers later, it’s my full-time job.
12 days ago, an automated review demonetized it as "generic or repetitive." I have yet to reach a human at YouTube since.
The irony is not lost on me.
My viewers regularly tell me the channel has changed how they see the world. That's the opposite of generic.

The problem is that punk was ALWAYS an aesthetics for some & an ethics for others, so it's pointless to litigate its essential meaning or "true" nature. It happened, it got co-opted, but people will always want to create underground DIY spaces/communities. Nobody owns that idea.
