i’m not prepared for some of my fave fics to potentially not exist anymore :( an unscheduled break this long means the archive is likely in shambles and they’re having to rebuild it
also if ao3 is that important to you and you’re in the us remember to vote this and every election cycle to help protect all internet archives, archives are inherently political even fanfic websites.
this is just a sign to work on my own abandoned fics — i stg when ao3 opens again it’s gonna crash with how many people are writing write now 😭
coming out to someone as a fanfic enjoyer is so weird bc they immediately think you’re a super gooner and you have to be like “you know there’s like so much more than that” but also you don’t wanna sound like you’re anti smut bc that’s dumb too 😭
why are non fandom people always so strange about fics? i mentioned it to S bc of the outage and she was like “didn’t realize you were into all that”
how are people genuinely thrown off when they are asked what size they’d like their drink.
i genuinely think 50% or more of people don’t specify when they order and then half of THOSE people have a mini panic attack when asked.
i love seeing older people trying to use people’s correct pronouns. it’s literally so easy to just go “ i saw *** — wait they — were …” like so simple, no biggie, just trying.
i have 0 patience for stupid people today
like a girl ordered a latte that’s it and i — in front of her — wrote it down on a hot cup bc she didn’t say iced, i made it and 10 mins later she was like “it’s supposed to be iced”
not it’s not. and you saw me WRITE IT ON A HOT CUP.
