While exploring what decentralized Web3 AI is competing with, I've been using NotebookLM. A new update enables it to make mind maps and video summaries of research. It's been quite useful! I can even share the entire notebook for this research or just elements of it. Definitely worth trying out and adding to your toolkit while you DYOR.

How well can LLMs actually build transactions on Solana? Until now, there wasn’t a simple, reproducible way to measure. Introducing Solana Bench — open benchmarks for testing AI’s operational competence on Solana. Mega-thread 🧵

This isn't a new thing - but sometimes we need a reminder 😂. Especially if we stay bullish and people REALLY start getting crazy. Token pamp ≠ business model

Big Tech is tying itself into knots over Responsible AI. Web3 AI hasn't mentioned it once. This could be a huge advantage Web3 AI has over the incumbents - if Web3 AI projects are focusing on the right things...

No more magical internet money??? Not if you want to run a project with staying power. Web3 businesses should be in the business of staying in business - - this requires running lean and earning revenue above costs, which isn't normal in these parts. Luckily for the industry, @thepoktopus says that the more Web3 projects that focus on clean business and delivery, the more CTOs around the world will be happy to turn to Web3 solutions.

"Responsible AI" being leaned on to solve privacy and ethical violations at companies. Who is defining responsible here?
Everyone is talking about “responsible AI,” but few are doing anything about it. New survey by Infosys shows many companies already experiencing issues such as privacy violations, systemic failures, inaccurate predictions, and ethical violations. @forbes forbes.com/sites/joemckendri…

Web3 businesses have the luxury of tremendous flexibility. They're run by small teams and have ample runways thanks to crypto. But longevity requires carefully aligned incentive structures. Are Web3 projects up to it? @thepoktopus shared his thoughts with me on Web3 and AI :)

While Web3 AI teams are busy building, big tech is busy defending their corporate interests. How will decentralized tech from the Web3 space compete in the AI sector? Maybe a compromise is in order. Think - when CZ first wore a suit and tie...

Big Tech builders and Big Government regulators say they're developing and implementing AI responsibly. They emphasize human impact, fairness, and equality - all in very different ways. Our Web3 brethren will find that they will need to reckon with Responsible AI if they wish to achieve mass adoption. This is the first portion of a series exploring Responsible AI and its impact on Web3 AI. 00:30 Challenges in Web3 AI 02:54 The Landscape of Responsible AI 06:14 Big Tech’s Approach to AI Responsibility 09:03 Frameworks for Responsible AI 12:10 Microsoft’s Responsible AI Standards 15:03 Google’s Principles for AI Development 17:45 US Government AI Executive Orders 20:51 Contrasting Approaches: Biden v Trump 24:03 Conclusion Some images generated with @Sogni_Protocol. We've got to stop being clowned by AI. Big tech and national governments are pushing Responsible AI frameworks- But their effectiveness is... questionable thus far. Do you think Web3-based AI frameworks are better?

Web3 AI tech builders are facing an epic self-own. After all, how will they compete globally with big tech and governments who make the rules? Yes, you'll use AI tech more and more in your life, but we don't know by who's standards... yet

Want mass adoption? Follow the rules! Web3 AI projects will conform to at least some of the principles laid out by national governments and big tech if it will scale up. Here I'll introduce most of the principles shared by either side - in later content, I'll explore the differences further and what Web3 AI should do to overcome the challenges. Big Tech & Gov: ☑️social inequity mitigation ☑️equity ☑️fairness ☑️accountability ☑️transparency ☑️data governance ☑️regulatory compliance ☑️inclusivity @Microsoft @Google @NIST @OECD @WhiteHouse46 Web3 AI principles: ✅Decentralization ✅Permissionlessness ✅Economic incentives ✅Open source transparency ✅Autonomy ✅Interoperability ✅Neutrality ✅Global accessibility @NEARProtocol @StoryProtocol @opentensor @saharaai

Ultimately, Web3 tech may need to conform to survive... Unsurprisingly, there's a fundamental schism between trad tech and Web3 AI. Whereas national governments and big tech focus on social issues, our Web3 brethren are focusing on opensource SC-governed fairness.

These two are not the same. While Web3 AI builders focus on utility, decentralization, and economic viability- Multinationals and governments are ensuring AI tech does negatively impact social inequality. In the end, Web3 will have to bend the knee or win a war.
