One of my favorite lessons I’ve learnt from working with smart people:
Action produces information. If you’re unsure of what to do, just do anything, even if it’s the wrong thing. This will give you information about what you should actually be doing.
Sounds simple on the surface - the hard part is making it part of your every day working process.

Controversial opinion: now's a fine time to launch!
Sure it's technically "crypto winter" but it's harder to break through in a bull market, demand is there now if you know how to tap into distribution, lots of onchain products aren't correlated with crypto markets anyway.
Plus, do you really want your graph to start high and fall off a cliff or build long term like all the best projects?
Look in the mirror and decide whether you're waiting to launch because it's actually a bad time or if you're procrastinating because it's scary.

friendly reminder to:
- add Yubikey / RSA fob / hardware 2FA to all critical accounts
- never click external links without inspection, never download anything
- verify don’t trust
- restart phone / computer regularly
it’s weird in tech right now, stay safe

the comeback playbook for chains is pretty simple:
build apps themselves
find pmf
land a killer app
thats the only way

8 illusions of Web3 builders / marketers / growth teams.
1. Registrations = users.
1/ Two independent research teams published what might be the most important papers in crypto security history.
The quantum threat to crypto moved from "probably 2035+" to "possibly 2029 or sooner."
Breaking Bitcoin/Ethereum's ECC-256: <500K physical qubits. ~9 minutes to derive a private key.
Bitcoin's block time: 10 minutes.
They consider it so dangerous they published ZK proofs to validate the results without disclosing attack vectors.

> What about building a startup looked easy on paper but turned out to be much harder in reality?
Here's what I've learned.
The basics are hard but important:
- Build and launch something early
- Talk to users about solving their problems
- Show up every day to iterate, iterate, iterate
Having a product is not enough. Users won't come unless they discover you. Start thinking about how you can reach users from day one.
As execution costs fall with AI, distribution will be your moat.

Testnet activity can be noisy.
Using @getFormo helped us understand who the real users are, how they use our product, and which areas to improve before mainnet.
Good tools make that clarity possible.

Replying to @getFormo
@getFormo has been essential in understanding our traffic. Datasets are extremely hard to navigate, and Formo has made it quite easy. To explain the value, let me share what we have seen in the data.
We launched our app on a hype testnet, and saw an explosion of users and activity. It was exciting to watch and felt like real traction. When we looked at the data, the wallets connecting to our app all had meaningless balances. Even worse, when that chain announced its token allocations had been finalized for earlier community members, we watched that traffic drop by 97% that same week on that chain.
When we partnered with @SonicLabs, we saw a smaller volume of traffic, but wallets connecting to our app had massive balances. Low noise, high signal, it was as clear as day with Formo's analytics

"We initially had very little insight into who our users are, where they come from, and their activity level in DeFi."
@0xVinnieJames and the @KairosSwap team solved this with crypto-native analytics together with @getFormo.
Now they track $200M+ in volume and save valuable engineering hours they can use for product and growth.
The neo finance category will produce more true deca-unicorn companies than anything our industry has ever seen.
It is already poised to be the fastest-growing sector in the global financial system for years and decades to come.
Welcome to the 2026 Neo Finance market map.
The combination of consumer-grade UX on the frontend, with DeFi infrastructure humming behind the scenes, will provide users with a "banking experience" that feels familiar but is far better.
Your savings are globally tradable, transferable, and available 24/7. Easy example? Your 'checking account' earns 5% APY instead of 0.25% APY that traditional banks pay.
We believe that neo finance, powered by teams focusing in a collaborative effort at different parts of the stack, has the potential to be a massive breakthrough in how the world interacts with money.
So, let's cover some of the key sectors of the market map.
Tokenization
Tokenization is the process of bringing real-world assets onchain: treasuries, equities, commodities, credit, money markets and more.
The infrastructure and tokenization agent layer includes @Figure,@OndoFinance, @Paxos,@centrifuge, @SuperstateInc, @MidasRWA, @grovedotfinance @NestCredit,@DinariGlobal, @Securitize and others.
It's been talked about for years, but 2025 *really* is when it actually started scaling.
Stablecoins
Stablecoins are the most successful crypto product ever built. They're the top of the funnel for 90% of neo finance customers.
The issuer landscape has exploded with the likes of @circle, @Paxos, @tether, @SkyEcosystem and others.
Yield-bearing stablecoins or 'yieldcoins' $sUSDS, $sUSDe, $BUIDL, $USYC, $syrupUSDC have grown expontentially to $13B+ in supply over the past 18 months.
Users are no longer choosing between stability and yield like they were in CeDeFi in 2020-2022.
They're getting both.
Neobanks
In this sector we have @ether_fi, @KASTxyz, @itstuyo, @galaxyhq One and many others. These teams are building consumer "banking" experiences from the ground up with DeFi backends.
Remember the DeFi Mullet?
Voilah. It's here still and the data backs it up.
These are the top three sectors we're currently focused on and expect the most amount of growth during 2026 & beyond.
Outside of this category, there's a brutal reality that's hitting the crypto market hard:
The old playbook is dying.
High-FDV launches with low float designed to dump on retail. Protocols with no path to value accrual. Copycat DEXs on ghost chains. VC-backed projects where founders exit 8-figs before any PMF.
All of that is dead.
It will stay that way.
When we started started with raw curiosity about DeFi, which led into infra in the last bear market.
We went deep on L1s, rollups, DA, execution, modular designs, interop, ZK and much much more. We earned our technical chops because we knew it was a necessity to succeed in this industry as a long-term builder, investor, and cultural participant.
We got some things right. Some wrong.
Now, we're evolving.
We're going all in on neo finance.
I got into crypto in 2017 after reading The Truth Machine (a great book). I believed then, almost religiously, that this technology would reshape finance.
Somehow it feels that we've gotten away from that mission.
That feels wrong.
Nine years later, were closer than ever to it actually coming to fruition.
The table is being set now. Opportunity is here.
Welcome to the neo finance era.

Across DeFi apps, neobanks, prediction markets, and consumer apps, we hear the same thing again and again: having clear, reliable insights into how users progress through the app is essential for building a great onchain experience.
Great products start with product visibility. Combining onchain activity, in-app behavior, and wallet intelligence into one place helps teams move faster and smarter.
Making analytics accessible is key: giving startups and teams a simple, trustworthy source to understand how things are going so they can iterate quickly, make smarter decisions, and build better products.
