We're deeply concerned that the Shadow Culture Secretary appears to be arguing for an end to almost all public investment in arts & culture.
A cut of this magnitude would be unprecedented and catastrophic. We've requested a full explanation of the numbers and a serious rethink.
We will cut the arts & culture budget by £1bn in order to fund 50,000 prison places. Keeping rapists and other dangerous offenders locked up is a priority for the @Conservatives. We will always put community safety first.
@RichmoMusic If you need help understanding the numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Always happy to talk you through.

Goodness 💛
What praise this man deserves for putting on every Stockhausen opera. And now it is complete. Tonight’s MITTWOCH was a triumph, he and his company @Le_Balcon should be full of pride. Now i hope for great things for the centenary in 2028. HU!! @secherletemps
Oh go on then. Ten things other people like but I hate:
1 goat’s cheese (me too)
2 bananas (yes, me too)
3 vape clouds
4 most Britten
5 fancy hotels
6 black taps
7 clubbing
8 doner (lamb) kebabs
9 reading
10 any form of tucked-in bed sheet

“Honest, we won’t come after the rest of the LGBTQ+ community when we’ve finished with trans people”
Drag has been part of our community since before we were legally recognised.
There are also AFAB drag queen and drag kings.
This is homophobia. Nothing more.

Funny how people like Sharron only seem to have discovered their homophobia, transphobia and outrage at drag once it became lucrative and politically fashionable for the far right.
Nothing to say about Mrs Brown’s Boys? Pantomime? Funny, that.

Morning! I’ve written for The Spectator about why you should listen to music you think you don’t like. Includes reference to our forthcoming weekend at Handel Hendrix House! spectator.com/article/yes-yo…
This really is brilliant so far from Altın Gün, @BBCSO and Jules. I’m now gutted I’m not there.
This is amazing! A very unique #BBCProms night 🎶 live from the @RoyalAlbertHall as usual on @BBCRadio3 @bbcproms #bbcradio
