Democracy is fantastic.
This is White liberal woman Helen Haines, an Australian Member of Parliament. She has repeatedly called for more cultural diversity in Australia, saying “we need to welcome people of all faiths and corners of the world.” She has supported efforts to resettle Afghans and Palestinians across Rural Australia.
Today she was run over outside her office by a 43-year-old man in a Toyota Land Cruiser. He had a knife on him and the incident is being treated as a terrorist attack. Police are not sharing the suspect’s name.
She is currently in the ICU fighting for her life.

Moving to County Durham to start a White Drivers only taxi firm.
🚨BREAKING: County Durham taxi firm draws a LINE after customers demand “NO MUSLIM” drivers
A Consett taxi company says it is prepared to lose bookings rather than give in to customers requesting drivers based on their religion or nationality.
Nearby Taxis says its booking staff have received discriminatory requests, including: “Don’t send me a Muslim driver” and “I don’t want a foreign driver.”
The firm says it has dealt with the problem for far too long and has now made its position clear: racist and religiously discriminatory requests will not be accommodated.
In a statement, the company stressed that its drivers come from different backgrounds, cultures and religions — but all deserve the same basic respect.
It also made an important distinction: passengers with genuine concerns about a driver’s conduct or the service they receive can still raise complaints, which the company says it will investigate.
Nearby Taxis added that neither drivers nor booking staff should have to face racial or religious abuse while doing their jobs.
The company says most passengers treat its teams with kindness and respect.
Do you agree with the firm’s decision to turn down bookings over discriminatory requests?
