Please explain why, in the ms teams tv commercial about doctors using ms teams for telemedicine, all the doctors are white? There is one white female. The white men do most of the talking. Please include more women and doctors of color.
At this time, we will be using our platform to amplify voices from the Black and African American community at Microsoft.

ALT “I can’t breathe.” These three words haunt me, my family, my community and this country. I’ve uttered them aloud and silently so many times throughout my life, as have most Black people I know. These words translate generations of fear, anger, despair, powerlessness, pressure and exhaustion. We need to treat racism like the systemic pandemic it is, and come together to mobilize, dialogue and actively work to flatten the racism curve, enabling all of us to breathe freely." Very young children are being held for days and weeks at a time in hotel rooms by federal immigration enforcement agents with no childcare experience. This is traumatizing to these children and unacceptable. Our full statement: services.aap.org/en/news-roo…

A recent piece in @HarvardBiz highlights the skillful management of #COVID19 by several women leaders and asks, “Will the pandemic reshape notions of female leadership?” I hope so. We need women involved at all levels of decision-making. m-gat.es/2OI6005

Good morning to everyone, except medical faculty who tell female trainees they are “pushy” or “too confident”, when they don’t say the same to male trainees who rudely dominate small groups.

Very little information is currently available on how #COVID19 is changing the lives of refugees & migrants, & how they deal with difficulties. This survey aims to inform & support policy makers & practitioners to better support refugees & migrants.

#Houston is grateful for the support from @andrewcuomo and the people of #NewYork. I thank them for sending a team and supplies to open two testing sites. Testing is critically important, especially in the Black and Hispanic communities, that have been hit hardest by #COVID19.

1/ Texas hospitals are running out of drugs, beds, ventilators and even staff.
Many hospitals are no longer accepting transfer patients in order to maintain space for a surge that’s expected to come.
In some parts of Texas, the surge is already here.
