A year and a half ago, I left my 9–6 job to go all-in on @urbeEth The strategic goal was ambitious: honor and build on the solid foundations laid by two years of community-driven work, and bring our impact in Rome, and across the Ethereum ecosystem, to the next level The personal goal ran even deeper: build something real in the city I love, something capable of keeping and attracting builders, together with lifelong friends and the new ones I’ve met along this journey The plan was clear: scale our events and community efforts, dedicated to onboarding the next generation of Web3 builders through quality education and meaningful experiences, and open and run the first Web3 hub in Italy, powered by the incredible support we had just received from the @AKASHAorg and @MihaiAlisie In 18 months, the urbe.eth community delivered: • Two more @ETHRome international hackathons, with top ecosystem partners and builders • Urbe Hub, opened less than six months after AKASHA’s endorsement, the first of its kind in Italy • 12 developer bootcamps (Urbe Campus) with 500+ builders educated across Italy, Europe, and around the world • And many other events, meetups, workshops, parties, and community initiatives Taking something pure, beautiful, and born from grassroots energy, and trying to elevate it into something even more meaningful, has been an honor. And None of this would have been possible without the constant support of this incredible community When you follow what you feel deeply inside, the work doesn’t drain you. It fuels you. And you simply can’t stop.
