It's a double standard though because these corporations get fined and then people like CZ who's doing his best to fight laundering gets thrown in jail regardless

Nah, that's been going on forever. The banks' lackadaisical "due diligence" when onboarding customers is deeply flawed and launderers always find a way to look legitimate, so the government keeps the pressure on the banks to do better, with these fines

I agree, AI-assisted AML will greatly improve the reach and efficacy of financial crimes enforcement, though I can't help but feel it will as equally facilitate ML.

Not to mention long-standing security-intense software products, like OS's, are producing zero-day fixes by the thousands. These next few years of security 'hardening' are going to dramatically improve safety and stability.

Iteratively debugging via multi-GB verbose logging files is an entirely new AI-enabled paradigm that allows for 100x more complicated software to be created that simply would not otherwise be possible.

I honestly feel decompiling code is grossly overstated in value. We've always had pirated software, but it's very unsafe, typically crawling with malware/viruses, so really, what does decompiling give you other than IP theft that can't be commercialized anyway?

Agreed, once those bio discoveries start paying out in the real world and lives are being saved at scale, that will be a whole new level for humanity.

Controversial take: The most significant contribution of AI to date has been the ability to debug code that humans simply cannot.
